Now the Eagles will be on the opposite side of plays like this:

Ironically we think of Barry Sanders as the quintessential 'been there before' guy but you know a guy has experience making big plays when he's confident enough to look back like that during a large gain. I'd imagine most guys that have never scored a TD in their life would be running like their life depended on it. Though personally I would prefer if the theatrics were kept to a minimum.

I'd like to take this moment to thank the man who made all this possible.

Please accept this apology on behalf of Redskin nation. You endured our hatred for the past couple years now knowing that in truth you were laying the groundwork for the type of blockbuster move that actually has half a chance of working. It was incredibly selfless and extremely honorable. Thank you Mr. Mara, we never should have doubted you.

Honerable Member of Redskin Nation

I'd also like to thank the Browns for another hard fought offseason bidding war. You guys are truly worthy offseason rivals.

6 words I never thought I'd say in my lifetime: Welcome to the Redskins DeSean Jackson. I love the fact that it's only a 3 year deal, it means it will be easy to get rid of him if necessary. Heard it's a huge contract though, so I'm gonna say 3 years/39 mil/15 mil signing bonus. I'm beginning to warm up to this deal, but I'm still wary of the fact at this time next year he might be whining about his deal.

He might be whining or might not. I guess we are going to find out but we had to take a chance on him. Our offense should be really fun to watch this year. Defense needs to step up now.

Still want to see the numbers, 3yr 28mill 12 guaranteed would be a good ballpark. Can't be higher on the guarantee, but the total probably will be inflated past 30mill with a lot of escalators in year 3.
You're pretty much right on target. Up the guarantee a bit

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 3m
DeSean Jackson's 3-yr deal with the Redskins is worth $24 million, including $16 million guaranteed, per @DarrenHeitner.

That's not a bad deal. That is right where his value would be to the team.

A little worried about that guaranteed money, but 8 mil per is less than some people were predicting.

Interesting stat by Shefter.

"No player in NFL history has switched teams within same division after he had at least 80 catches, 1,200+ receiving yds in previous season."

So we pluck two top divisional FA. Not a bad off-season.

Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson

We are now sitting very nicely at the WR position.
This is going to make our draft so much easier and better.
Draft OL and safety please!

Really like those numbers. Probably backended a little to give some flex this year but we aren't over a barrel. Legit deal both ways.
