Right on. In fact, we were worse than "blah." There's a reason why Garcon had more targets than anyone else in the league: there was no one else to throw the ball to.

How much more effective will it make our TE group? Slipping a back out of the backfield?
We became a team who cannot have all the weapons covered. If we can get an Oline guy or two, we may have something.......

I disagree as those are Super Bowl contenders. I think there's a time and place to "overpay" for free agents. That time is now for both those teams as their QB's are in the twilight of their careers.

Didn't we talk about you making sense? Don't you remember how dangerous that is?

Re: Redskins free agent signings thread part II

The only thing I will say is that if we could have gotten T.J. Ward for 4.5 million dollars for 5 years then great but I am not going to knock what we have accomplished this off-season.

Yeah, pretty sure That Guy meant Denver.

Still annoys and confuses me that we overpayed for Lavuao, but didn't use that money on Verner, Ward, or someone else actually worth a price tag in that neighborhood. Not sure what Allen/Gruden was thinking there. I mean, it seems like we could've drafted Cyril Richardson in the 3rd round and got pretty much the same production for quite a bit less money. I sure as heck hope Lavuao proves to be worth that cap space; perhaps with Trent and Kory surrounding him, he'll do better than he did in Cleveland.

You're right, but those are still the type of signings Vinny used to do (on a bad Redskins team).

I find it interesting that Denver would spend so much money on defense, when they were beating soundly by Seattle's defensive line.

But they managed to lure the centerpiece from the Redskins physically opposing line from 2013 - Will Montgomery.
