I honestly believe Snyder has a bullseye on his back for not changing the teams name. That's were a lot of this locker room divided bs stems from and he forced Griff back in crap imo. RG3 looked healthy to me

Re: Skins-Vikes Post game good & bad
Haven't actually seen the latest presser by Jay, but there are reports of a couple of interesting quotes.
1. The jury is still out on the qb situation. I read that as one of many brutally honest statements by coach. 2. He was defending Haz. I havent actually seen the presser but that would seem to place the blame on the players. I was curious to see the blitz % was about the norm compared to other games, Dallas excluded. I am curious what the breakdown would be 1st half very 2nd half. |

Not sure how you got "RGIII is the reason for the loss" out of that post. That post had nothing to do with the loss, but a observation on Robert's need to shut out criticism and stop trying to be liked so much. First and foremost, the defense failing is the major reason we lost to the Vikings. Giving up 30 points to a rookie QB that hasn't done shit the entire year is inexcusable, and 26 points should be enough to win a game.

Re: Skins-Vikes Post game good & bad
No, I think Gruden's thing is to spread the blame to all. He defended Haz in the face of a pretty harsh question about firing Haz now. No head coach would throw his DC under the bus like that.
He did say that they still blitzed quite a bit, but that the LB blitzes didn't get home for some reason. Also, one problem was that they lost containment a number of times, something they didn't do against the cowboys. But he said they wanted to show some coverages to the rookie and see what he'd do--obviously, he did well. One big thing I took from the presser was Gruden urging that we need to stay together as a team, and the what he's looking for is competitors who will continue to fight their way out of this. I think Gruden is a good guy and has the makings of a good coach. But it's a hornet's nest in DC for a number of reasons. Hope the guy gets the support he needs and doesn't burn out or get fired early. That's as much of the root of our problems as anything, IMHO. We were a friggin 3 win team last year. No magic words will change us instantly into a contender. 5-6 wins is a good season in my book, so long as we see some progress with the team, particularly at QB. We've only been blown out of one game. The rest we were in and killed ourselves, mostly. That's fixable. Not sure if Haz is the guy, but I feel like Gruden has the stones to do it, given the chance.

Seeing the Giants get crushed would be sweeter had we won yesterday. Sigh. It's like Alice in Wonderland- jam yesterday and jam tomorrow, but never jam today.

If Gruden is saying "No way, no how should we be starting Griffin b/c [whatever reason given]" and Snyder is over riding him that's one thing. I just don't get think Gruden is saying that.

He clearly states that scheme wise they could have done better. I dont think he is defending Haslett as much as he is blaming the players as well as Haslett. Like the Redskins....a weak defense. Either way that guy is gone for good by next year. Hopefully sooner. |

The skins roster isn't very good. Gruden is 50/50 run/pass for the season also.
