I think Grant is one of those guys that can push others, because he looks good in practice. But after a few years of not moving up the depth chart he loses that edge. I would be shocked if he is on the team after final cuts.

I think there's something to your thinking there, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he'll be cut.

I think Grant pushes others because he performs well in practice. It's really Doctson that will get pushed.

But Jay genuinely likes Grant and will definitely keep him around as the 4th guy behind Crowder, Pryor and Doctson. He has the versatility to play the X, the Y, or the slot - not well mind you, but Gruden likes the jack-knife aspect. That's what will help him dress every game day.

Maybe, but Maurice Harris has shown more in games than Grant and they like this Robert Davis kid too (particularly his size). Someone will be disappointed.

I hope we can at least get Davis on the PS. I like big, fast, strong receivers. Hell, I like that at every position lol.

Yeah but unless you think Gruden is just blowing smoke by talking up Grant so much, there's no way it will Grant as the one that's disappointed. I think they keep Davis because he has the deep threat ability. Harris probably gets cut.

Grant has had a lot of time to make an impact but hasn't. I have a feeling he may be traded or cut. With the apparent ability, hard to know why it hasn't translated.

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN

Harris actually played well last year, can't see him being the odd man out. Gruden easily could be trying to motivate Grant by the positive talk. If we keep 5, I think Grant is gone, but 6 he stays

11 Pryor, Terrelle
80 Crowder, Jamison
18 Doctson, Josh
13 Harris, Maurice
17 Quick, James
14 Grant, Ryan
PS 9 Davis, Robert
PS 15 Hazel, Matt

gone
16 Pascal, Zach
6 Staples, Jamari CF17
83 Quick, Brian U/LAR

I wouldn't mind seeing Grant swapped out for Robert Davis. I am not sure we can stash Davis on the PS without someone picking him up.

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN

I really think you guys are smoking something. Grant is a mortal lock for the roster.

Not that he deserves to be, but no chance he's even remotely on Jay's bubble.

With Doctson virtually an unknown because he can't stay healthy makes Grant a lock imo. Plus look at Grant status among the other WR...he has seniority among the group. I think that helps him as well.

But honestly, I can't stand the guy....but he should make it.

I tend to think seniority in the sixth spot ought to hurt your chances to stay on the team

Seniority gives gruden someone who is dependable who knows all the o-calls, who can run all the routes on the outside and inside, and a guy who KC has extensive experience with throwing the ball too.

You're thinking way too much about what you think should be, as opposed to what is.

Gruden loves Ryan Grant. He's not going anywhere, this is growing tedious.
