@czabe
I refuse to make every bad play by Kirk a contract referendum. |

But he's right...and at the sametime there are expectations that come along with 44 mil over 2 years and turning down a sizable contract. Just sayin'

Kirk definitely needs to pick up his play, but so does the line and the receivers.

Funny because BMitch says the same thing, he said "Jay is too nice" I agree, dude needs to start being like his brother. Also 17 Rushes??? WTF is that? Kirk isn't ARod, stop it Jay. Next week is a huge ? for me, Idk what to expect from this team right now.

As does the staff, offense is too predictable. Play action doesn't work when u dont even try and run the ball. Perine didn't get 1 carry yesterday... Kelly had maybe 10 without looking at the stats. We beat ourselves, philly is ok but we should have won.

When it comes to the performance of the Oline yesterday...Luavo and Long weren't the issue....Schreff and Moses were bad. These were 2 who were best at that positions last. Shocking to me.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
Its going be a long season. If we lose next week, hello 0-4 bye week. I was hoping we got this win plus next weeks and drop the next 2 and be 2-2 at the bye. Sigh.
The Reed toe injury is very concerning. Doctson is just at this point Malcolm Kelly 2. I think the lost of PG and DJAx sprinkled with no Sean McVay is just going to totally expose KC for who is; nothing special. The defense seemed somewhat improved. Oh well; frees up my Sundays.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
If we go 0-4 then I would seriously look at major changes ..Head coach, Cousins..etc .Bottom line I am glad the Skins did NOT pay Cousins the money he wanted on long term deal..he is a 10-15 mil a year QB ..if somebody wants to pay him 20-25 then go ahead and good for Cousins ..I'm just glad we won't be the team.. Gruden is on hot seat ..way to soft of a coach..The D looked like a different team because they have a D coach who gets them fired up ! Gruden is head of the O and they are soft ..we win yesterday with Average QB play and a Bruising running game.. The secret to winning a lot of games is Don't beat yourself..No turn overs. The O looked like it was the second pre season game..Cousins will not come close to last years stats and it will cost him millions..

High probability we go 0-4, I say 1-3 but that Rams game is on the road, might be tough to win. Anywho even if we go 0-4 changes won't come until the off season.

Funny Stat: Trent Williams (1 TKL) and Brandon Scherff (1 TKL) each had more tackles then Junior Galette (0 TKL) in the game.

I don't see 0-4, If we beat the Rams I'd say 2-2 is possible. The nfl changes week to week. If we lose to LAR then I'll say 1-3.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
Yup. I'd say everybody shares the blame on this one. Several things stood out to me, like Morgan Moses getting beat, along with Long and Lauvao. Pryor needs to step up, I knew his run blocking would be a drop off from Garcon's but there were several times his poor effort led to run plays not getting past the LOS. Not to mention the dropped balls or his inability to track down the deep ball early. Doctson obviously needs to get his shit in order, no idea why he's 4th on the depth chart. And we all saw the inaccurate throws by Kirk, I have no idea why that's happening but we don't stand a chance if he can't deliver an accurate pass. Not sure if it's the pressure throwing him off or his mechanics are off but he needs to be better.

Re: Ugly week 1 again... Post game thread.
I believe that Jay Gruden values players' knowledge of the system much more than he should. Production is what counts. Football is still about blocking and tackling. I don't think our best players are on the field.
For example, the OL needs drastic change. There is nothing wrong with giving another OL combination a chance since the current one isn't working. And we need to start thinking outside of the box. Try Roullier at C, move Trent to LG, and start Nseke at LT. Then we'll run the ball. I'm ready to argue this with anybody.

We may beat the Rams. I really don't see us beating the Raiders or KC.
