Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
Why are so many NFL fans expecting QB's to play lights out or you want them cut? There aren't 32 "lights-out" QB's available. That's just the reality of football. We have a strong defense that could carry a team, a potentially strong 2019 running game, and some talent at WR. You don't have to have an elite QB to go far. I love watching Brady and Rodgers etc. but I'd rather improve the team and have a Colt McCoy just doing his job than be where Green Bay is with an elite QB but no team around him. This isn't a panic time yet. I have no worries with Colt at QB as long as we have a long term plan in place like bringing in or drafting a new QB of the future. To be honest, this is exactly where I wanted to be at the start of '17. Should've traded Cousins for a #1 and let Colt play last year and draft a QB for '18.

Experienced journeyman, double down on the supporting cast, defense and O Line. And keep taking shots with picks. Drafting qb's is an absolute crap shoot. Keep throwing darts at the dart board but don't bet the farm unless it's an Andrew Luck type. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Keep it in the family Brett Rypien, Mark's nephew.

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
As of now(2018) he has a 24 to 10 TD to INT ratio....he's not Andrew Luck but the kid can play...all he needs is coaching.

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
He also has a top 5 WR in the country on his side, and he plays in a very weak conference.

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
Isn’t there some weird thing where no QB 6’6” or taller has ever had any success in the NFL?

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
He's a late round pick in my opinion. He's a physical freak. There is no doubt about that. However, as you pointed out, he needs a lot of work. I do believe can be good with some good coaching.

Re: Alex Effect - 2019 Draft
Ive heard from beat Redskins reporters....6-8 month is absolutely best case scenario...8-12 most likely.
People need to remember their is a psychological aspect to the injury...so physically he may be able to perform. The team absolutely needs to bring in young QB this draft. And this is a job audition for McCoy going forward. Flacco, Tannahill, Tyrod Taylor....let the evaluation begin for a possible add. |
