Or it was simply about trying to improve the position... In which case they are the worst kicker evaluating staff in sports history...

It was both. I mean how do you cut a guy when there is no plan b? Was Blewitt nailing 50 yarders while playing on his phone or something and we just don’t know it? Did you actually try him out? His kicks are beyond bad. At this point Im calling Hopkins back. Did he sign somewhere?

He signed with the Chargers. Probably happy as hell.

Yop. Chargers... Having witnessed the London tie first hand I'll be the first to tell you how meaningful kicks he missed... But he's still a legit NFL kicker.

Those dives are done quarterly or bi yearly. Otherwise we are reviewing data and moving along.

Than say “we are going to look very deeply at everything about this team during our bye week”. Not “we have evaluated nothing over the last 8 weeks”. I cant be the only one with a problem about either the substance or the delivery. And not for nothing Mred but it isn’t the same as regular jobs. You got 53 guys and you are getting paid millions of dollars. Evaluate everything all the time. Its just attention to detail. It isn’t like he is shutting down the stadium to take inventory and do busy work that he doesn’t have the time to do all year.

I think you are just being waaaay too critical of that reported statement; and I don't even think he said "we have evaluated nothing over the last 8 weeks."

I'm quite sure there has been evaluation going on all year. That's why there have been over 50 transactions involving players since the season started, dudes changing positions, potential trades in the works, etc.

I know you don't like Ron, but you can't seriously believe that they haven't evaluated anything over the last 8 weeks, or that statement even means that...

Nine games to go, and only two games out of the last Wild Card spot.

1-0 in the Division

2-2 in the Conference

I like their chances...especially after RR has finished evaluating the first eight games.

He said “haven’t actually started”. I guess different than “haven’t “. I said numerous times it was either a stupid thing to say or that it is criminal. Meaning why the hell would you say that if u have been?

Bottom line is I dont know Ron so it isn’t that I dont like him. I dont like his coaching abilities and that isn’t based on this statement. It is based on the fact that he loses games. Forgive me but that is my main thing with head coaches. Their wins and losses. Its that simple. Id imagine he has at least a couple years to go. So excuses aside let’s see if he turns it around by 2023. My guess, based on his career is no. Hope Im wrong.

Re: WFT vs. the bye week thread

In all fairness, we didn't see us beating Pitt on the road last yr.. But that was with a QB that doesn't turn the ball over and a defense that was actually good..

Pitt went on to lose most of the rest of their games.

Re: WFT vs. the bye week thread

I think it was a great accomplishment considering all the team had to overcome last year.
