Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK 7

It's amazing that the Colts are 3-3-1 the way people are talking about them being in rebuild mode. I doubt that they see it that way.

BTW, I am not saying I disagree, but they somehow beat the Chiefs earlier in the season. Their other wins are against Jax and the Broncos -- not real achievements -- and they only managed a tie against the Texans. The two games they played v. Jax are crazy -- they lost the first game against them 24-0 and then won 34-27. How you get blanked and then put up 34 on the same team 3 weeks later is beyond me. So who the heck knows what this team is? They're probably thinking that they're decent QB (turnover free football) away from being relevant, just as some people thought might be the case for us now that the defense has started to play better.

The good news is that Irsay is nuts and he'll probably want to suit up himself to play on Sunday.

Similar to where we are with Heinicke and Wentz though, Ehlinger probably gives the Colts a better chance to win at this point than Matt Ryan does.
I'm thinking youre right,he probably gives them a spark,I'm sure he's gonna be a lot more mobile, not much game film on him,he probably whips our ass

If Zappe can do it, why can't Howell? If TH screws up, put him in a short leash.

Impressive indeed. That must be tough for Mac Jones. The guy has a solid rookie season, his team drafts a QB in the 4th round, he gets injured, the guy shines and just like that a couple of bad drives to start the game is enough to get him benched... The NFL is a tough business for sure.

Colts aren't in rebuild mode.. Lol. Like most teams they have some strengths and some weaknesses. They're an average team. Pittman has really turned out to be a really good player.

The Bears are taking the Patriots behind the woodshed.

I think BB is really good. But best ever? Nah. I remember when he was DC of the Giants back in the 80's. We always had a tough time w/ their 3-4. He got the job at Clev and got them to the playoffs once, then Modell moved the team. But what is his record w/ out Brady? Seems like he is just a really good coach that lucked out w/ Brady. Even his 2001 SB team had numerous Parcells leftovers. Plus his drafts have been subpar at best.

Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK 7

I guess our run D is pretty good after all. The Bears ran for 243 against the Pats. Sheesh.

The Bears played an inspired game against the Pats. They are learning how to best use their talented young QB and they have some other top-notch talent on D. I think they are on their way to becoming a tough out the rest of the season. It was certainly a fun game to watch.

Who do you think is? I think he is very good too. You give any other current coach Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe and they are not nearly as successful. Only other coaches I think could take those two and squeeze some juice are Shanny and McVeigh

They are already a tough out. With the exception of the Packers game, their other three losses (NYG, MIN, WAS) have all been by one score.

Wow. Makes me appreciate our victory and defense a bit more after seeing this. Our defense has been playing better than the beginning of the year. Would love to see Chase Young soon healthy.
