Much like the RGIII trade, I highly doubt it had Kyle's blessing. I think this was a boneheaded move on John Lynch's part trying to make a splash. We all knew that both Kyle and his dad didn't want to make that RGIII trade and it was Bruce/Dan's doing. Hence why Kirk was drafted in 4th round. Kyle always wanted KC over RGIII. Trey Lance isn't the type of QB that Kyle wants. He wants a pocket passer that is mobile enough to run his play-action/bootleg plays in his offense. Look at dude's college career. No way Kyle would give up 3 firsts for that guy, who essentially ran for almost 1/2 of amount of yards passed.

Re: Around the NFL training camp thread
They certainly did. They tailored an offense to match his skill-set and a lot of what he did in college.

Re: Around the NFL training camp thread
Not really. If a GM wants a player, doesn't matter what the coach thinks, that player will be on the team and the GM will expect the coach to make it work. It's exactly what Bruce and Dan did to Mike/Kyle.

Re: Around the NFL training camp thread
Heard from Ben Standig that Cody Barton has been the worst graded LB in the preseason on PFF. I know, who cares about preseason but him and Quan Martin look completely lost on the field most the the time.
Side note, Stromberg has been impressive at guard.

Hudson should start over Barton.

Re: Around the NFL training camp thread
Jake Fromm has been insane in EB's system. 85 QB Grade as well.

Re: Around the NFL training camp thread
It’s a shame that Jaret Patterson can’t return kicks because Kaz Allen sucks.

Re: Around the NFL training camp thread
Fromm should be our two. Can’t believe im saying that but he really looks like he gets it. Yeah he is playing against third stringers, but he is also playing with third stringers. Brissett has looked awful. How the fuck is kaz allen not cut already. He is atrocious.

Not sure you can keep Fromm over Jacoby based on a pre season but the eye test says he gets EB’s offense better. I trust EB to make the right decision and I am sure offensive personnel is his call. Fromm will be on the practice squad at the very least. |

In all fairness Fromm been around for a while and was absolutely abysmal in any actions he saw. Different than Sam. But I agree. Id rather have him on the roster at qb after that pre season than a handful of other guys we kept. |
