Re: You’re Fired
Yeah DQ aint going anywhere and he doesn't need to be fired.. We are an old roster with a lack of speed all over the defense. JD5 has missed basically the whole season as has Terry. It sucks to admit it but we are just not very good. This is a HUGE off season for this staff

Re: You’re Fired
Four games left, and it would appear that the only decent chance of winning another game is next week in New York, where the Skins are 2.5 point underdogs. If the team loses out (which is a very real possibility), this season will mark the organization's worst winning percentage in 64 years. Obviously, that hasn't happened yet, and there is about a quarter of the season to go. But if that does happen, if the team does suffer its worst season in 64 years, ownership does not need to justify firing anyone. On the contrary, the onus would be on ownership to justify not firing any coach or front office personnel who had any impact on this season.

Re: You’re Fired
We only need:
2 or 3 CBs 2 or 3 Safeties 2 or 3 LBs 2 or 3 DEs 2 or 3 WRs 1 TE 1 RB Oh, and Peters, we need these players to actually be good. Fix your garbage ass roster you built. Other than that, looking pretty good. And honestly, we could just cut every single defensive player not named Amos/Armstrong, and get all new guys, and still be better than this defense. Peters was a total failure this year and our coaches aren't good enough to coach anything out of them.

Re: You’re Fired
KK lost me when he passed the ball 3 times at the one. On that drive we ran the ball ver good so he decides to pass 3 times.

Re: You’re Fired
DQ isn't going anywhere, but both he and AP will be expected to turn things around rapidly. Injuries are the primary reason this season is down the pan, but a roster that underperformed, questionable treatment/coaching of JD5 (avoid the hits and only bring him back at or near 100%) and retaining Whitt at all, let alone the demotion BS are all on both of them. Not sure about retaining KK because he's coached a good offence overall, but some of his play calling is WTF. Rebuild the staff and rebuild the roster. This year sucks, and we can't say it was wholly unexpected, but next year no excuses.

Also, Deebo is atrocious at catching balls over his helmet. He didn't even look like an athlete on the 4th down throw. Looked more like the Giants kicker.

Re: You’re Fired
Apparently Wagner came out and said that DQ has NOT lost the locker room and they respect him very much. May not mater in the long run if he can't right the ship, but if Harris has that same sense form the team and AP still has his faith, neither are going anywhere. But between them they have to rebuild the D staff and as much of the roster they can, this offseason. Personally I haven't lost faith in them yet (just 2 years after inheriting a shit show of a roster and team set up?), but if Whitt isn't fired at the end of the season...
Big question though, who can they replace him with? Surely if there was somebody they were confident in promoting they'd have done that and fired Whitt instead of demoting him? Who would you be looking at? Poaching a DC or bringing in a young gun ready for the step up? |

Re: You’re Fired
The big problem is AP, not the staff. Though it is meh. AP has been atrocious in his short time here.

Re: You’re Fired
I am not ready to say that AP has failed -- draft picks take time.
2024: 1 (2): QB Jayden Daniels [OROY, injury concerns year 2] 2 (36): DI Jer’Zhan Newton [disappointment so far; just flashes] 2 (50): CB Mike Sainristil [good rookie season undone by scheme (I would argue)] 2 (53): TE Ben Sinnott [no real opportunities yet -- will seen the rest of this season; TBD] 3 (67): OT Brandon Coleman [will at least be a rotational piece if not swing tackle] 3 (100): WR Luke McCaffrey [was playing well on special teams in particular before his injury] 5 (139): LB Jordan Magee [I think he will start in year 3; shown potential] 5 (161): S Dominique Hampton [gone; no ROI] 7 (222): EDGE Javontae Jean-Baptiste, Notre Dame [had been showing potential from the edge before injury] 2025: Round 1, Pick 29: Josh Conerly [good pick and trending up] Round 2, Pick 61: Trey Amos, CB, [unlucky with the injury, but our best CB this year] Round 4, Pick 128: Jaylin Lane, WR/PR, [too early to tell, but not much impact yet] Round 6, Pick 205: Kain Medrano, LB, [hasn't seen the field yet, but still early] Round 7, Pick 245: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, definite potential here -- already good value for a 7th rounder] His free agents have been a mixed bag for sure, with the most obvious and impactful failure being Lattimore. But he also signed Tunsil (stud), Armstrong (having strong year before injury), Luvu and Wagner (great year 1, not so much year 2, but at least Luvu can bounce back), Deebo (I think he's played well for us), Wise (was playing well before injury), and Will Harris (got hurt pretty early so hard to tell). He also signed a bunch of other guys to fill gaps left by injury -- Miller, Smith, a bunch of WRs -- none of whom look likely to stick around with the possible exception of Burks, but it's hard to fault him too much here. One could say that not giving the DE position enough attention was a flaw, and that's not unfair. But we did lost our top 3 DEs -- Armstrong, Wise, and Jean-Baptiste -- early in the season, and it's really hard to know how that would have gone had they stayed healthy. These DEs played reasonably well in the weeks they played, and Armstrong was leading or tied for the lead in sacks in the early going. I am not ready to write off AP at this point. And I certainly don't agree that he's been atrocious.
