Re: Race to 2025 playoffs
Houston beating the Chargers made the Texans the 6th afc team to clinch a playoff spot and also allowed Broncos to win AFC West.
Since Packers clinched a spot when Lions lost, they weren’t really motivated today. Packers losing; allowed Bears to win NFC North. So the last spots come down Panthers/Bucs for NFC South and Ravens/Steelers for AFC North. Steelers can win North today, if they beat Browns. |

Re: Race to 2025 playoffs
I can see the Pats or Broncos going all the way this year. Be interesting how both fare against a top D,. Bills keep shooting themselves in teh foot (almost literally in Allen's case); I'd like to see him in the SB simply because he'd be fun to watch, but if they couldn't beat an Eagles team with a dud O, and at home to boot, then I can see them 1 and done in the playoffs. And after this weekend I can see the 49ers making the championship game but being beaten by the Hawks or Rams.

Re: Race to 2025 playoffs
Game of the year last night. Kyle is such a great game planner and Johnson isn't far behind him. Watching those two offenses last night was really something else. Love both guys and how much they still believe in putting the QB under center.
Regarding Kyle, he has such a creative mind when it comes to offense. Really tough to defend that team w/ all the movement they do. They may be the only team left w/ a pure fullback. Moving him all over the place in the blocking game. Kind reminded me of old Don Warren. |

Re: Race to 2025 playoffs
I don't know why Johnson was turned off to us. Who knows. I remember reading that he was concerned that Harris was going around w/ a basketball guy. He just felt more comfortable staying put in w/ the Lions. It is what it is.
I'm not giving up on the guys we have but they have some work to do. This time last year no one had any concerns w/ Quinn and Peters. We need JD to get back to his 2024 level of play. That's what's most important. |

Re: Race to 2025 playoffs
They gave these games, prime spots:
Tampa and Carolina- South winner and nfc, 4th seed , first Saturday game. Though, if Falcons and Panthers and Bucs end up in a 3 way tie at 8-9; Panthers win division. Seahawks and 49ers- West winner and nfc home field. 2nd Saturday game. Ravens and Steelers- North and afc 4th seed, SNF. You’d figure the 49ers/Seahawks game would be a better game to close season. Higher stakes, not just division but winner also gets Home field. The Ravens/Steelers isn’t as compelling. Steelers have no Metcalf due his suspension and we just saw how bad Steelers offense is, without him. Ravens might not have Lamar but they should win anyway. |

Re: Race to 2025 playoffs
In the nfc, I think the NFC West winner will represent the NFC; after beating Bears in championship game.
AFC is a little wide open as I think the Broncos, Pats, Jags and Bills could play each other in championship game and go to Superbowl. |

Re: Race to 2025 playoffs
My early thoughts on wild card weekend.
Pats beat Chargers easily, Bills-Jags is a tossup, Texans beat whoever wins North tonight. Bears slip by Packers in last minute push, 49ers beat Eagles and Rams beat Panthers. We should know the exact times after the Steelers/Ravens game. |

Ravens miss field goal; so Steelers win 26-24. They will face Texans next Monday.
