We could always use depth in various places, and we have a bunch of DL FAs that remain unsigned, some of whom would be good to bring back as depth: Goldman, and maybe Day and/or Holmes.

A bunch of guys won't be back -- I imagine Austin Ekeler, Noah Igbinoghene, Noah Brown, Bobby Wagner, Zach Etrz, Von Miller, Jonathan Jones, Trent Scott, Josh Johnson, Preston Smith, Antonio Hamilton, George Fant, Jeff Driskel, Chris Moore, Chase Edmonds, Lucas Niang, and Tyree Jackson. Of that group, Niang was hurt and didn't get a chance, and I wonder if they want to see what he's got. And I'll be sad to see Ertz, Wagner, and Ekeler go -- quality guys and great players in their prime. Hamilton also played a lot more than folks expected, and I wonder whether they keep him or Jonathan Jones as depth (I doubt it; both are up there in years and we're clearly going in a different direction).
Of that list I'd like to see them give Igbinoghene, Niang, and Tyree Jackson 1 year prove it deals. They're still young enough to develop more, and the new coordinators may get more out of them. Happy of Paul comes back, but he did well last year so probably wants a starting job.

Well, I think he'd have the starting LG job with us, as he did last year. It's possible that they'll let him walk and slot Coleman into that spot, although Paul beat him out for it last year. Paul played well, and I'd be happy for him to stay so we're looking for one OL position (center) and not two.

I am conflicted in Igbinoghene -- he's shown flashes but has also had bad lapses. Jackson is intriguing with size too (6'7", 250 lbs), and we do need to continue to develop that position, especially if they think that Sinnott has a make or break year and we don't want to have to keep going out for new guys. Niang is a blank for me -- also a huge guy (6'7", 328 lbs) but didn't sniff the field last year.

GREAT call! His TD dance -- which was JD5's 1st NFL TD pass ever -- was pure joy.

And there we go, we've signed White. Now we have the grand total of 2 RB's on the roster.

Less of a priority to draft Love at #7

Trade back, get more picks, or go BPA.

We say this every year and it rarely works kn the trade back, and if we are being honest if Love is there at 7, he is the BPA, and I couldn't get to the podium fast enough to say his name

Looks like it is down to Styles, Tate and Downs.

I am hoping for Downs. Someone that good on the back end of our defense would be a very nice and welcome addition. Hopefully, Amos and Sainristil will live up to their promise, and we have a good box safety in Cross, not to mention a LB that can cover TEs in Chenal. With the additions on the DL, we ought to be a lot more stout. Downs completes the D transformation, I think.

Add McNichols and Chris Paul, and then let's see who else we can add at WR. We've done a lot in 3 days, and the number of missing pieces (beyond needed depth, of course) is meaningfully starting to shrink.

Re: 2026 Commanders Free Agency

While I get that depth guys won't likely be signed until the 2nd wave of FA gets going, and even then many will wait until after the draft to fill holes, I really hope we are still pushing to get at least one WR. Not getting Peirce and/or Doubs is disappointing, and we can't get everyone we want. I guess we are waiting until the 49ers do something definitive with Aiyuk, but I would still be looking at guys like Jennings.

I'm torn on Aiyuk, but if he is 100% back to his best by seasons start (if not camp), he, Scary and Jennings, plus the rest of the room would give us real capability in the passing game, even without a dominant TE. And if Okonkwo and Sinnott come good...

I am not sure on Jennings, I mean he's the same guy Deebo was last year in terms of age, lack of explosiveness, etc. But Deebo has amazing Run after catch numbers. So they are comparable and I think we paid Deebo 17M last year, plus a 5th rounder and it was considered a great deal. Deebo carried the WR room last year with limited deep route ability. Jennings just did the same at San fran but had lower numbers, yet more TDs. I see Jennings as a WR2 at best and Deebo as a WR3+ only because Deebo can't get separation on deep routes, although he did complete some deep passes anyways. I kinda see them both the same, with Jennings more traditional route tree guy. From a bad ass standpoint though, Deebo is actually better. So it the idea is to pay one of these guys 35M for 2years 2years which one do you take? My belief is there is a bias of greener grass and yeah Deebo is very limited in what he does, but as for value? Any big 3rd rounder can do what Jennings does, in fact, he may be replacable with a late cut, but Deebo is unique. I am not sure, but my best guess is if they can get Jennings for 17M/yr for 2 years, they will take him, but I'm sure he's looking for 3 years/50 or so is my guess. If Jennings bails, I bet they immediately sign Deebo for 15M 1 yr. There isn't anyone else out there that is much better. Thoughts?
