Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
God Snyder is so stupid...as long as he owns the Redskins, it will be tough to have hope lol

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Watch Shanny make Brennan the starter because he's accurate and has Cutler's mentallity.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Who cares what Shanahan's salary is? As long as there isn't a cap on the salary of coaches, Lil' Danny can break his piggy bank on Shanahan all he wants.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
I agree. I'm fine with Shanny being a filthy rich winner. And, if he doesn't win, for me the problem will be with losing, not with the size of his contract.

That bugs me when small market teams like the saints and the colts do so well when we use the same formula we have been (grossly overpaying) and continue to suck dick

But I don't have a problem with the amount..... 50mill In actuality they break it down a little and tell us it's some 8 mill over 5 yrs. Obviously 8x5= 40 so I would presume there is either one big signing bonus or he gets a bonus each year say 2 mill? this also enables him to hire his coordinators for 5mill or slightly more a piece. |

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Funny maybe I'm the only one who thinks Colt might develope into the perfect QB so long as they stop trying to change his throwing motion. Just remember what happened to Favre. The Falcons thought he sucked also and didn't like his throwing motion. They traded him away and it's all history. and yes he is the interception king.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
It's amazing what Snyder has done to the league. I mean not even 10 years ago Spurrier was given a 5 year $25 million contract and now that contract has doubled for Shannahan in terms of money. I mean I kind of understand given how much money guys like Holmgen and Parcells are getting but pretty soon the Haynesworth contract will be easily matched. Who knows, in our lifetime we could see a kicker getting the Haynesworth contract, but that could be blamed on inflation.
