Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Nope. Skins threatened to sick Fat Al on any team who tried to draft them.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Delvin....wasn't very productive at the FCS level and didn't have the physical tools to make up for that. McElroy, just no one wants to take the time to develop Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Well Skins fans the Redskins either didn't want Powe or got cocky thinking they could get him in the 7th round.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
I know just about everybody can't stand the fact that we've passed up on O-line and D-line. But I just can't argue with the strategy here. Think of it this way ... what has this team sorely missed over the years? Weapons. Guys who can take the ball and score.
So why not load up on as many speedy, elusive running backs and wideouts as you can; increasing the odds of a dynamite playmaker who can beat every defender to the endzone. Shanahan and Allen clearly like those odds over a bookend tackle who'll anchor the line for 10 years. |

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
There are two type of teams on draft day. Teams that get anxious and go after big names that everyone has been talking about, or teams like the Redskins that trade back and let the draft come to them, sometimes they get guys a little early (Jenkins) other times they end up with steals (Hankerson), and sometimes they get alleged steals at crowded positions (SMU kid whose name I'll know by the end of the day)>

And they said Ha you can't make us sign him, to which they responded "maybe, but we can easily go back to his contract and give him a bonus for living in your city."
