I can see Flynn being more like Kolb than like Brady. Brady is a once in a decade diamond in the rough. You can see the physical skill set RGIII has. He has accuracy. He is mobile. I just feel like if we don't trade up for him we are doing nothing more than settling for less than what we could have had at QB and I'm tired of settling. Or "waiting" until next year to get our guy.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Throw those RG3 dreams out of the window. I knew this would happen. Thanks to Arthur Blank Cleveland is definitely going to land RG3 next year and not the Redskins. Another strike against this hapless regime who hasn't done anything yet to improve our team from where it stood prior to them coming in. This will be the 3rd year in a row where these clowns were unable to land a franchise QB. I know my vitriol is premature but Cleveland has more to offer than we do. I even went to numerous Cleveland Browns forums and their fans are clamoring for him. Not saying the fans will dictate who Holmgren drafts but will most certainly have some degree of influence once the local media pressure kicks in to high gear.
PROJECTED TRADE: Several teams are going to try and move up to get Griffin but the Browns have the most ammo -- the fourth overall pick and a late first-rounder or high picks in later rounds. Cleveland needs Griffin -- and wants him, according to league sources -- and the Rams will still get their man. Mock Drafts 2012: Richardson could slip to Bengals at No. 17 Last edited by Shadowbyte; 01-17-2012 at 03:20 PM. |

I'm telling you RGIII won't make it to us and there will be a bidding war...

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
That's because this regime has proven that they can't get the players they really want and need. 2 years in a row the Shannahan's had to "settle" for the player they drafted. All while I'm seeing other teams making moves to get the player they "want" and "need". Despite his numerous flaws at-least Cerrato was able to get the players he wanted, unlike these clowns who actually thought Grossman was the answer to our most pressing need.

It's definitely too early. I think the 2nd pick will be a QB (Foles or Tannehill being the most likely) and that we're going to add a FA QB before the draft (not Grossman, not Flynn either)

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
According to Holmgren a few weeks ago he stated that the Browns will "stay the course, and not blow up what they created". Looks like he's doing exactly what he said he wasn't going to do.

Don't know that we can get Blackmon at 6 or like any other WR in the draft to take as high as 6

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
that feels like a loss to me and another year of waiting to get a qb. Even if those picks turn out to be good players, we wont get anywhere without a good qb and i personally dont trust Flynn, the man has hardly played at all! We are just wasting what talent we do have on our roster and by the time we get a qb they will be old and need to be replaced. i really think we need to get RG3 or else we will just be floundering once again next season and watching his highlight reels on another team.
