Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread

This game was very similar to the one last week against NY. Defense got the offense turnovers and the offense can't do shit except piss all over themselves. Just not one god damn ounce of creativity on offense. I've seen enough from Gruden to know I'm just not impressed with him running an NFL offense, and sure as hell not impressed with him as a play caller. His offense reminds me of Rod Dowhower in 1993.

The Dallas offense was more creative. Let that shit sink in for a minute

I'm already over it. Like we all said, nobody is any good in the division anyway and 7-9 will most likely win it.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread

I'm pissed. That was the worst game I've watched this year. If you can't get fired up about playing a division rival, on MNF, late in the year for a chance to make the playoffs, you will never be ready. The defense was a bright spot but the rest of the team might as well just go ahead and start their vacations. Kirk continues to play quality football but that offense was as vanilla as vanilla gets. Sean McVay needs to go. Either it's because the new head coach brings someone in with him or because Gruden fires his friend but the guy isn't ready for the pro game. I can handle watching the Redskins lose, but to come out against the Cowboys looking like you were ready for an afternoon at the mall, killed me. They should've been looking for blood, instead they played like it was a 1 o'clock game against the Jags.. I see good pieces but that was a disgusting performance. Desean screwed us in the end but that should've never even been a close enough game to matter.

Should never have come down to DJax punt returns. We had THREE turnovers, two of them in Dallas territory, all we had to show for it was THREE points. Horrible.
Defense gave the offense plenty of opportunities but the offense could not capitalize on them.

BTW - Hey KC, there were no positives from this. None. You should feel like crap.
This has been the story of our season. Defense getting takeaways and the offense not capitalizing on them. This right here is the reason the team lost the game.

Djax made a dumb mistake but he made up for it imo. Plus he was trying to spark something and make a play it happens. That's a guy we must keep around. He's had 3 straight games with a td now.

The Redskins have created 6 turnovers in the last two games against division rivals and have 3 points to show for it. That is just pathetic.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread

Watching the game, before the snap, I could accurately predict what the Redskins were going to do at least 80% of the time. At one point, my wife said, "Well, if you know what they're going to do, don't you think that the Dallas defense probably does?" Good point, m'lady. Yeah, I do. This offense is way too predictable.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread

One big giveaway right now is that Washington is so depleted at Tight End that they bring in extra lineman on certain runs and it is just a dead giveaway. It is almost comical really, but what else can they do without having enough serviceable tight ends?

He didn't throw a pick - that was good. Yes, he was under pressure. However, he did nothing consistently to make Dallas back out of it - either by passing over or around it, audible out of plays that were headed in to the teeth of it, or making pre-snap adjustments to the blocking. Maybe he did some of these, but I didn't see it.

Lots of reasons we lost - mostly b/c no one did enough to win. KC was very much part of that equation.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread

Not sure I'm buying into the criticism of the play calling. We've got an o-line with two starters on the IR while one starter is a rookie playing a position he never played before; and TE depth is a mess. Behind all of that is a QB who's basically a fourth round rookie. Last night they played a very strong defense that had ten days to rest and prepare.

Under these conditions, I would expect a conservative game plan, particularly with a tight score, which it was last night. The running game never got going enough to really open things up, and that Lee dude seemed to break up all the screens and bootlegs. So the number one priority of the Redskin offense was to not turn the ball over, which they didn't do. We saw good situational game calling; it just didn't work out. Sometimes you just lose games.

Kirk's reluctance to change plays at the line was definitely a problem. There were a number of times the Cowboys linebackers showed their hand with a good ten seconds left on the play clock and Cousins didn't make adjustments. He needs to get better at that, and there's no reason to think he won't.

Special teams + offense stunk, but really they are more talented then we are. We are screwing up the division by playing above our ability.

Yes. Yes there is. There are plenty of reasons. Again, not a rookie folks.
