Yeah, I agree. That will look cool on a helmet of someone running fast down the field, unlikely their dorky traditional logo.

That looks like the logo an airline company would use.

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

From my experience, Native Americans don't find the Redskin name offensive. For example, last month I was driving to Grants, NM, which goes through the Laguna Pueblo. I stopped for gas and a Laguna cop saw me wearing a Redskin tee and went out of his way to hold open a door for me. I thank him and he replied "Only cause your a Redskin fan" with a smile.

That's just one Native American. Ask a group from the Sioux nation, Cheerokee nation, Apache nation, or/and Choctaw nation if the Redskin name is offensive and most of them will say that it is.

Actually polls cited in this article say the opposite:
SI.com - Magazine - SI Flashback: The Indian Wars - Wednesday August 17, 2005 10:10AM

And it is spelled "Cherokee."

Have you determined from extensive polling of these Native American nations that that is the case? Do you have any research to back this up? To make claims like that you need to back it up.

That article points a divide between the Native American activists and the regular population. I think the answer isn't as clear cut.

Redskins4ever made a sweeping claim about the "regular population" and the numbers in that article reference that population:

Indeed, a recent SI poll suggests that although Native American activists are virtually united in opposition to the use of Indian nicknames and mascots, the Native American population sees the issue far differently. Asked if high school and college teams should stop using Indian nicknames, 81% of Native American respondents said no. As for pro sports, 83% of Native American respondents said teams should not stop using Indian nicknames, mascots, characters and symbols. Opinion is far more divided on reservations, yet a majority (67%) there said the usage by pro teams should not cease, while 32% said it should.
