Re: 2022 Commanders off season thread part 1
They don't, except when they do, but it doesn't matter if they do if anyone else doesn't. Makes sense right?

Re: 2022 Commanders off season thread part 1
“We don’t particularly care to be lied to our face,” Herman said. “They took him out of the free agent market now for two days. That puts us now at a disadvantage because other teams have paid other defensive linemen contracts, and [Ioannidis] hasn’t been able to take advantage of that. That’s not the way you conduct business in the National Football League.”
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...t-cutting-him/ full quote from his agent. I do like teams to release respected veterans ASAP so they can begin to secure their next contract and released vets get an early jump on the other FAs ... but vets are cut all the time throughout the offseason |

2022 Commanders off season thread part 1
Quote:
That is everyones hope. That RR, and this new Front office will.., A) be left alone by Douche Snyder to dig out of the hole. Seems like it is the case. B) do it successfully. Better be the case. Our win percentage over the last ten years is actually worse than it was over the last 30. Which is hard to believe. None of which lies with RR or this front office. They have definitely made us at the very least, and in your words, mediocre with potential. I think everyone knows if RR ultimately fails or reverts back to one of the worst that we are in deep doo doo - so of course there is some edgy concern. This next couple years is make or break time for him and if he cant fix it - deep doo doo. Im glad they got McKissic back. I hope we nail these few draft picks, I hope Wentz reverts back to pre 2020 Wentz (and i think he can). I hope we sign a couple key pieces (namely starting G’s). If those three things happen than certainly this can be considered a time when we dug out of Snyders hole he built. But that monumental task can only be performed by doing one thing. Winning more games than we lose. Time will tell. |

Releasing Flowers? Wow -- that seems a bad move as he's played very well for us. Do we not have ANY capacity to restructure deals?

No one can be surprised about Deshazor Everett, right? I mean he was destined to be released. Surprised it took this long.

And no one commented on my saying the same thing about a Ju-Ju in the slot yesterday. Harrumph.

He gave up a 5th for a QB that TH ended up playing in front of that will no longer be w/ the team. Then he gave Samuel big money knowing he was hurt and got 0 production out of him Ron the coach is 14-20, Ron the GM gets a C- to D+. That isn't mediocre. |

Re: 2022 Commanders off season thread part 1
Not every move is going to work out as expected.
You can debate the QB move all you want, because CW hasn't played a down in a Commander's uniform yet. However, RR has made plenty of other real good moves since he's been here. BTW, I think TH ended up playing in front of Kyle Allen last year because we lost our starting QB in the first half of the first game of the season, and he was still coming off a pretty brutal injury. |
