Re: Redskins v.s. Packers Game thread

I won't blame Buges for this. He cooking with the groceries Snyder bought. This was a winnable game, that we let get away. I said from the beginning of the year that we need to add depth to the o-line. We have never been successful without great o-line play. We overpay for popular big name players, but other than Raybach, we really haven't brought in anyone other than cast offs and unprovens.

not a doom and gloom guy.... but with no offensive lineman it doesn't matter who runs or throws the ball

Re: Redskins v.s. Packers Game thread

Let's look at this way: we had all subs on the right side of the line and lost our center. Our top two receivers just couldn't catch the ball (that happens, especially when they've been nursing injuries). Any team under those circumstances would be expected to lose. The fact that we were in the game up to the very end and only lost due to a fumble return is a testament to our defense. We're not a bad team - we're a good team with serious injuries. If we can get our oline a little healthy (any word on Rabach?) we'll still be in it.

Tellya what, our strength and conditioning coach has some explaining to do. Every week, every injury it's groins or hammys....

Surprise, surprise. The same thing that has been plaguing us for, what, 8 out of the last 9 years comes back for another tour: completely unreliable / injury-decimated WR corps.

The defense played well against ol' gunslinger, the refs gave the cheese-wangs plenty of opportunities to win on suspect calls, but most importantly, Jason put the ball where it should have been on at least 8 seperate occasions that were dropped by the wides.

Apparently, Cooley and McCardell are the only guys on the team who can catch.

I can't even pile on B.Lloyd's typical half-hearted play because all the other receivers were just as guilty.

What a horrible game overall. From more and more injuries to our offensive line, to Santana's hands, to Portis' fumble. Ugh. And the clock management. This one was definitely a huge step back.

Moss is to blame a lot this game but it is a team game and a lot had to do with it. Sean Taylor stepped up.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

This was the worst half in all the NFL this year. We owned the other worst half from the Giants game. Someone on the Skins staff must lose their fucking job over this. If there is not a major shakeup I don't know if it's possible to root for this team any longer - almost like failure, incompetence and utter stupidity is a way of life for the Redskins organization.

Uh, I don't think anyone's going to stop rooting for the team over a bad game, unless the reason you started rooting in the first place was the fact that we were winning...

I think if anyone is to blame (or get fired) its the strength and conditioning coach for killing our O-Line. Everyone is dropping to hammies and groin injuries. We can't do anything without our line. You can't have pass/run protection without your pass/run protectors in!

More than anything I'm concerned about the health of our O-Line for the coming week... hope Heyer isn't seriously hurt... it could be a few weeks before Wade is 100% if he has a serious groin injury

12th ventured a guess that maybe he hasn't picked up on the playbook very well yet.

I was asking that question myself. Cause God knows we coulda used him out there today.
