Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

On a couple of 4th and 1s, we tried Logan Thomas in that wildcat direct snap to him .. I dont remember us converting on either attempt.

im guessing Montez would be used in a similar role .... BUT we already have Fitz, Allen and Heinike so I dont see us ever dressing 4 Qbs unless someone gets hurt.

I'd take him. Unlike Dan he has a proven track record of being a successful business man.

Yes, someone can always be worse, but it depends on the decision making by the owner. We just need an owner that can let football people run the team and make most of the decisions. Snyder has shown repeatedly that he won't do that. He's doing it now because he is trying to keep any attention away from himself, but who knows what will happen once he is no longer under investigation.

There's always a risk in having a new owner, but even under the current conditions, I've seen enough of Snyder to be fine with a new owner.

20+ years of Dan running a once proud franchise into the ground... hell yeah I'd take a chance on literally anyone other than him to own the team.

Oh sure, that’s where I’m at as well. Just saying Bezos may not be the slam dunk a lot of people are saying he would be.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

Ron Rivera is forcing Snyder to spend money to have an actual full competent FO and scouting department.

Snyder is now paying like 6 high end executives 6 salaries .. vs just paying Bruce to wear 6 hats but not actually do anything.

I honestly dont see Snyder keeping Ron for more than 2 years.

Snyders MO is spend as little as possible on FO and infrasrtucture, collect his league revenue, pocket money ... and wonder why the team is consistently a loser.

Fuck Dan Snyder.

One knock you can't make against Snyder is when it comes to spending $$. He's never been afraid to open the check book. Not sure I'd buy that he doesn't want to pay a front office. I'm guessing Bruce was the one that wanted to keep a lean front office, less people to question him.

I don't think anyone is saying he'll be slam dunk, we just want someone different.

It's like staying in an abusive relationship because you're worried the next person might be worse. Makes no sense.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

Requirement to be new owner = Get new stadium deal done in 1st year or 2

If that can be done, anyone can own it imo.

I bet it's a suspension over a force of sale but I'm hoping they do make him leave for good

People always say how Snyder isn't afraid to spend money. Hmm....he still spends within the salary cap so does he really spend more than the other owners?

Cap outlay vs cash outlay are two different numbers. I don't know the answer to your question, but cap numbers often include voidable years or salary costs written down but not really paid. Cash outlays are what is spent. At this point every team has a rolling floor because some owners would were consistently underspending in cash outlays.

Edit: I looked up active cash spend on overthecap.com and WFT is 17th in active cash spending, so that would be moddle of the pack for cash outlays.

I do think Snyder had realized that big spending on contracts didn't equal big time results in winning. And Rivera definitely doesn't see spending as the easy way to winning.
