Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
In the next year or three, Raheem is going to be a great catch for someone as HC. His first stint was long ago, and anyway, that’s how you learn this business. To see him only as Rooney fodder way underestimates him.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Certainly doesn't hurt to interview EB on the way out. Pick his brain about the players, plus it does him a solid by getting his name out there.

OMG - Rivera is interviewing for the Eagles DC position. Please hire him. And Del Rio while you’re at it.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
If Ben Johnson is hired as HC, Hank Fraley former Eagle OL and Gaithersburg HS alumni would be his OL coach.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I don't have any Ben Johnson football cards. If we're going Detroit, let's get Aaron Glenn.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
macdonald and johnson would be good (people that have been talked to), and harbaugh too (who hasn't been contacted that I've seen).
I think that's the top three for me and they have a good bit of separation from the rest of the field. Obviously, nothing's guaranteed, etc. |

Just saw this. Wtf? There is no way NFL people aren’t aware of how terrible the D was under Ron? How do you interview him to lead your defense with a straight face? |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Not reading into this because the HC is only one piece of the puzzle but take from it what you might:

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I'm gonna play devils advocate..
scenario #1 We hire a OC or DC to be HC .. the offense struggles however the DC has the D rockin (or vice versa) with that scenario you essentially have your Head coach struggling because the O or D is not clicking .. to make a change requires The Head coach to be fired . Scenario #2 You Hire a head coach and he hires a OC and DC ..the head coach in the style of Dan Campbell,Mike Tomlin,Mike Vrabel,Harbaugh.. etc if he is a good leader he has the OPTION to fire coordinators if they don't produce WITHOUT a complete re-boot ! I almost to the point of wanting a head coach who is a PROVEN LEADER who gets the team ready and let him bring in his Coordinators. The ravens are doing it that way , Chiefs and Lions both do it that way .. San Fran has Kyle as HC/OC What do you guys think ?? |
