Re: Redskins v.s. Packers Game thread

I think that's a very irrational statement sir. We could at least get something for him if we traded him, one bad game is not grounds for cutting your #1 wideout. He just needs to get healthy and get back into the right frame of mind.

I think if we act fast we can get L. Coles back.

Seriously though, Moss needs to get his head out of his ass....because his performance this year has been garbage

Our D kept putting us back in the game, and then we'd just flush it down the toilet.

Re: Redskins v.s. Packers Game thread

just curious, on that 4th down and like 1 or 2. how long of a fg attempt would that have been? i know hind sight is 20/20 but what if we kicked it and made it. never know.i would have atleast lined up for the attempt to see if we could draw them offsides, i saw a few plays where they were offsides but no flag.. oh well i guess its in the Cards next week.

I don't say cut him, but I would really rethink about resigning him. We really need a guy that is physically imposing like TO, Randy Moss or Stallworth IMHO to be our #1 go to guy. I fear that Santana is going to be oft injured as he is taking a beating more often. Also I wonder if it is more than just his groin. I know the weather sucked and all, but that bomb that JC threw to him should have been caught. If Santana is not 100%, I say give McCardell more playing time. I liked what I saw in him against the Lions last week.

You really wanna shell out TO or Randy Moss type money especially after all this money we paid, I'm-so-good, Brandon Lloyd to sit on his ass and do nothing all year? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Santana is just as good as any of those guys. Sure he's not 6'1 but damned if he just as fast or faster. You gotta keep Santana cause even though he's sucking badly so far this year, he's been consistent in the pass and easily has the ability to be consistent again once he gets back into his groove (here's hoping)

Re: Redskins v.s. Packers Game thread

Not saying actually go for TO or Randy Moss, just draft a kid, or get a cheaper, younger FA WR that is more physically imposing. Santana is quick and usually has sure hands, but I think his height does limit him in some respects like with jump balls or allowing JC some leverage in throwing it higher. In the games that I have seen, Santana is only getting bombs off fly routes or real short stuff. I think you bench Santana and put in McCardell for now. I don't think Santana is 100% yet. We have an easier team in Arizona, but go on the road to AFC East land for two weeks. We can't afford to go 0-2 off that road trip.

And do you think Santana is going to ask a lower price for his services come negotiation time? Also, can you really say that picking between Santana or Randy or Santana and TO would be hard? Did you watch the Dallas/NE game tonight? Both are dominant forces, tall, strong, physical, etc. Shoot I would even like to get a guy like Marques Colston in here as well. I like Santana, but his asking price is probably going to be too high for what he gives the team come negotiation time anyway. Only way we keep him is if he reverts to '05 form or his asking price is reasonable.

Yes because not only is Santana a good player he's also classy. And you know how Gibbs feels about classy players.

I think it's a GREAT idea to bring a team chemistry plague like TO here to the Skins. Especially after that bitchfest he threw last season. Come on! Everyone hop on the "TO to DC bandwagon" Hurry, before we run out of space.

Re: Redskins v.s. Packers Game thread

Just a week ago, this site was loaded with posts talking about how much we needed Moss to play in the Lions game...this week we're talking about how much he's stinking up the joint and we should consider trading or cutting him

Just a week ago, this site was loaded with posts talking about how it was so cool that Saunders was going for a pass on 4th and short...this week, we can't understand why he didn't just call a handoff to Sellers

Ahh...to be a Redskins fan.
