no, cause i could have just as easily sat there for two hours myself like i did with space invaders. i had one press "a" repeatedly while i took a shower for alien hominid (could have taken the shower and come back, it was impossible to die, but i like avoiding rsi risks when posible) and i had one check for red and hit new game if blue came up in the poker game. everything else is legit. the arkanoid game and hominid game are borked by the creators and contain ways to crazy points if you get lucky (warping up the ledge near the grenade guy and getting the correct bounce in arkanoid).

I've explained everything pretty thoroughly here and cost myself some records (home run derby etc) because of it :P and just so you know, writing a macro for space invaders or arkanoid or duck hunt etc would take MUCH longer than just playing through to set a score.

and before accusing anyone of modifying packets, you better have some proof.

In the end, it's the classics that count. Tetris, Chopper Challenge (Schneed, I'll never figure out how you did it) and Snake. Those are balls-to-the-wall baby. It's all skill. And piss and vinegar.

Snake... Chopper challenge? Classics? I don't know about all that Malcolm. Lets just say pacman is classic(don't attempt to take my title away for saying this)

Hahahahaha. True enough. Pac-man is without a doubt a game that's purely skill. I think there's a couple others too.

actually, the real pacman is purely memorization. some people can beat it (get to the level where the graphics glitch and the game freezes) with their eyes closed the entire time.

insomniac with dave atell... i think. they showed him doing it eyes closed (getting all fruits etc), though obvious not the full game (cause that'd be a bit long... and very very boring). he sells his own brand of salsa or something as well.

I'm full of pointless and trivial information :P anyways, if you get to level 255 and that flash game glitches, let me know. I find pacman too boring to bother with (and i'm not really naturally good at it either).

Atleast you admit that using macros isnt legit...

I never accused you of manipulating packets. But I dont see the difference between using macros and just plain hacking the game.

This is a sore issue for me because I admin a Counter Strike server and have seen a great game die because of script kiddie with their aimbots and wallhacks.

I detest cheating

there's a huge difference between a wall hack or aimbot and a macro that hits one button repeatedly :P come on now, maybe that horse you're on is a bit too high.

Either way it sounds like cheating to me That_Guy. The arcade is supposed to be just a fun little distraction, let's try to keep it that way.

yeah I agree, its great that you figured out a way to get a high score, bc of the way the game is created, but a high score should only count if you physically sat through the game and earned. If you dont want sit for hours, then dont, but macros are def not legit in my eyes, and they shouldnt be for this site.

should we also remove all the games with exploits then? cause exploits can be considered cheating, and that means all the home run derby, arkanoid, mini golf, alien hominid, etc scores are all invalid.

is helicopter hunting in alien hominid considered an exploit, since you have to do that instead of progressing through the game to get high scores as well?

where does it end?

No there is def love for honesty, Im sure everyone appreciates that. But that doesnt mean people cant question your scores, and still appreciate your honesty.

I know I am not the only one that feels this way, Im sure anyone who has seriously tried for a high score would feel the same too.
