Re: Can We Bench Brunell Now
brunell is is only part of the problem, he cant help that our team allows over 20 points a game. i dont know about our qb situation but i dont think campbell is going to be our long time answer.........dont yell at me everyone but i wished ramsey would have got a shot in the al saunders offense, he wasnt afraid to pull the trigger

Re: Can We Bench Brunell Now
25 points is about 15 too many to give up to the Titans. However, it's not ridiculous to ask for our offense to score more than 22 against the Titans. Gibbs is right, when the team plays, it either wins or loses together. Both units did everything they could to lose as a team.

Re: Can We Bench Brunell Now
Brunell's only reads are basically #89 and #47 on most plays. It's a joke that Lloyd is only getting about 1 catch a game. That final pick is a prime example of Brunell's tunnel vision for Moss. I'd love to see film of that final pick - with 4 blue jerseys in Moss's vicinity, I'd bet that both ARE and Lloyd were running free.

The problem with Brunell is this - he's suffering from the ole' Shane Matthews syndrome. Great for 1 and a half quarters and completely ineffective thereafter. His last 5 passes of the game were laughable. Almost 4 INT's in 5 passes. Dude sucks! I didn't check to see who let the Dartmouth kid come straight through and block Frost's punt. That guy better get a verbal bitchslap from the coaching staff. |

Re: Can We Bench Brunell Now
He should be in the top 10, throwin 5yd ass routes! Is he tryin' to win or make sure he has a top 10 passer rating? He wouldn't go down field if we were playin OHIO STATE! He needs to pull a Kerry Collins and tell Gibbs he can't lead this team! HAIL from Nashville!

Re: Can We Bench Brunell Now
The D is sucking horribly right now. We look like complete dogshit. Our offense does need a fresh start and I'd give it to Campbell right now, but i've never been a brunell supporter. I give him props when he does good, but he's just as inconsistant as ramsey was...
Its time to move on to Campbell... Brunell should go sign a one day contract with Jacksonville and retire in the community he cares about... where his heart is according to him... Not making excuses for our defense, because we should've probably shut them out, but our offense was capable of keeping the game out of reach, but didn't. Most of that can be attributed to brunell....

And what is this "here for last season" arguement? I would use that as a pro-Brunell arguement. For the record I think if this team misses the playoffs, Campbell should get the job next season. So this arguement isn't really about my love for Brunell. It's about protecting the QB of YOUR Washington Redskins from becoming a Scapegoat for a team who has a defense that will be ranked in the bottom quarter of the league after this week. |

Re: Can We Bench Brunell Now
Blaming the D, is like puttin a band-aid on a bullet wound! Yes the D has been terrible, but Brunell has been equally as terrible or more so. You can't expect the D to hold when the O constantly goes three and out at crucial parts of the game. Damn Brunell, just keep the damn chains movin. When is everyone gonna wake up? Brunell is done! HAIL from Nashville!

Re: Can We Bench Brunell Now
I understand your points GTripp, but there's really no comparison between Brunell and McNabb or Palmer.
