Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Yeah I looked at Seahawkshuddle.com and they have nothing yet. I am too lazy to register and post it up there.

I like Brunell, solid back-up and class act. But I really hope he's traded. When he struggled here just about everyone rushed to heap blame on him (even for things he shouldn't have had to take the blame for) but very few people are ever willing to give him credit for anything. He deserves better than the treatment he's gotten in DC...and I'm tired of reading threads about him.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Yeah but after they played that interview Brett Haber said he talked with Brunell privately and Brunell was enthusiastic about playing in Seattle because of his U. of Washington ties. Haber said that Brunell was basically "politically talking" by answering the question but not really answering the question.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Yeah he's taken more than his share of the blame from the time he's been here in Washington, but the only way it will stop is when he gets traded. I wish he got treated with more respect for everything he's done for us.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
So I just posted an iquiry thread about it in the Seahawks forum Seahawks Huddle - Home of the 12th Man :: Home to see if they know more about this. I gave them the link to the channel 9 article.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Yeah, but we'll be f'd if we have to rely on our #2!
If this trade is true, we are in serious trouble if Campbell goes down. Brunell is a great backup, Collins is not. (nor Palmer)

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
I hope it's at least a 3rd rounder, otherwise it was a dumb move.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
In my book Brunnel is worthless. If the Skins get a seventh round pick, that would be good. A can of Coke...
It doesn't make sense to carry two high priced over-the-hill backup quarterbacks. I don't like Collins either, but it looks like he has won the backup competition. If someone is willing to give a draft pick up for Brunnel and get him off the books, jump on it. Give Palmer clipboard duty and let him learn the ropes. He may develop into a good prospect. Third string is the perfect place for him. If you put him on the practice squad, another team can claim him.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
i have no problem with letting go of Brunell for a 4th or 5th rounder (the pick we will lose based on Kendalls performance). Lets be honest, if Campbell goes down and brunell has to start, this season is a wash anyway. Why not get rid of brunell now and build for the future...not to mention our usual tactic with draft picks is to blow thru them for mediocre trades. If we accrue a few more picks here and there we may be able to put them to good use later or at least not hurt ourselves when we burn thru them in pursuit of a ridiculously overrated FA.
If its any less than a 5th (or maybe a 6th) i think its not worth it b/c we aren't getting enough back and we are unnecessarily helping another NFC team. Imagine if by some ironic twist of fate we had to play Brunell in the playoffs. I could completely envision us getting burnt by him b/c of the bad karma.
