Well, if I can clarify:

Devin Thomas' choice was to get paid now, or spend another year in college to better his game. That is a dualism, as spending another year in college to improve ones game means he is not allowed to enter the draft. It has to be one or the other.

I wouldn't doubt that Thomas wants to help the Redskins win. That seems pretty fundamental. If you want to play professional ball, you probably want to win while doing so. I would argue that he wasn't the best choice for a team looking to improve itself, but that's another debate entirely.

I was simply addressing the dualism that dmek was assuming between 1) wanting to win, and 2) wanting to get paid. I don't believe one exists there. I think people can both want to win and get paid.

Make sense?

Dude, its not all about the money now. Who would've thought the bengals would have self imploded the way they did after the 05 season and if im not mistaken thats the year he signed his multi year million dollar contract. He signed on thinking they would be a consistent winner, along the lines of indianapolis. But look at the team now from 05, this team sucks and he knows it. For you to say that he doesnt want to win is a damn joke, he's one of the most competitive WR in the game, sure he wants money, but he's one of the richest wr's in the league, so why would that be his motivie? Your completely off on this one

How is that different than a team cutting a player when things are not working out (according to the team)?
