The stage is sitting up for Colt Brennan to move in. Collins wont be able to manage. I say by week 14 they will move into the Brennan project

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
By week 14, we should be close to 6-7 or 7-6, so no, Colt will still be firmly on the bench barring injury.

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
I'm really sick of browsing the threads and reading stuff about how JC is learning the offense still and how Jim Zorn is a rookie coach.
Give me a break, I know this league takes time but no matter how much you try to candy coat it that game was terrible. Sure our defense played exceptional in the 2nd half, but our offense was a non factor. Santana Moss still can't hold onto a ball when there is someone who poses a threat in the vicinity. Jason Campbell looks absolutely terrified at times in the pocket (which he shouldn't be noting his size). Our running game looked so similar to last year it wasn't even funny. No matter how many excuses you throw out at it you can't change what it is. We played like a high school team on offense. |

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
Todd would be the worst move right now. This is not a SB team it is a growing team with a QB who needs experience.
I would say yes to TC if JC was the only thing holding us back from a SB run this year. To bring in TC would be just dumb he may get us to 8 and 8, then what he retires. This year you play out JC see what happens, then at the end of the season decide if JC is the horse you will ride (same goes for Zorn). I bet if the skins get five or less wins this season Danny scraps JZ and JC and Bill Cowher or some coach like that is brought in and the rebuilding begins. But at this point you have to let it all play out over an entire season to see what you really have.

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
I don't think so. I'm sure Danny has learned his lesson, if he does that who the hell would want to come coach this team. It doesn't matter how much money you offer when you have no type of control.

That is why he hired someone who didn't have a lot of experience. To coaches like a Cowher that makes this even a bigger challenge. Win where no one else has. You don't think this would go on in a interview: BC: Dan you fired Zorn after only one year. WTF? DS: I told Zorn you got one year to make it happen (must get X number of wins to be considered succesful), consider your first year like a one year interview, prove to me you can be a head coach. BC: Ok, give me complete control and 10 million deal done. If Synder doesn't already have a rep amongest HC as being a hard ass I would be surprised. Firing Zorn after one year isn't going to change Danny's rep.

Re: I waited & months for this crap?
It's the same problem every year for the past decade. The Redskins don't play well as a team. Forget playcalling, almost every play one person is getting beat, making a bad throw or running the wrong route. It doesn't matter what play is being called if you can't execute. And it's a different player each time which makes it very difficult to correct. I don't know if it's coaching, lack of leadership, bad luck or what. I am sure the players and coaches are just as frustrated as we fans are. However, it is getting harder and harder to dedicate an afternoon to watching this team play mediocre football.
