This happens a lot in the real world, except that in the real world you don't get traded to another company, you get FIRED. Regardless of what is going to happen, Cutler ends up with another team and gets paid.

Now once again, this is situation is not in the real world, it is the NFL, a place where players get traded. A world where teams and players make "business" decisions. In the end, regardless of what he says, Cutler will benefit b/c he will probably try to get a new deal wherever he gets traded.

We'd have to give up multiple 1st round picks or other picks and pro-bowl players to get him. We have too many needs to eff around with something like this. It's not like we're desperate for QB help. We'd give up way too much. Campbell and those kind of picks/players for one guy isn't as much of an upgrade as a lot of people think.

As you say, Cutler IS an upgrade over Campbell. But would giving up Campbell AND the high quality picks/players it would take to get Cutler be an upgrade for the Redskins as a team? No sir.

Agreed, business is always business. But, in this case, you are talking about getting rid of an excellent employee, who has no means for getting fired or traded. The best QB denver has had since Elway. Bowlen must be getting senile, McDaniels should be fired, the team will tank this year. Who wants to have some 30 something year old punk kid, who has only held a figure head title under Belichick, as a coach? This will be the biggest mistake in Denver's history.

Well put, and that is the real question isn't it?

Can't believe it. Looks like the Eagles just traded McNabb for Cutler. This sucks:

Cutler Saga Ends: Eagles Ship McNabb and 1st Round Pick in Exchange for Cutler - ESPN

I thought it was "To be or not to be?" That is the question. Maybe I am just a little off. I just wanna know to the guys who really want Cutler so badly, do you honestly think that he is that much of an upgrade over Campbell if an upgrade at all. The way I see it if we trade all these players/picks for him the only thing that will change is instead of 17 getting knocked to the deck constantly it will be number 6.

This is all on McDaniels. He is an absolute idiot and I can't believe an NFL team can possibly screw up a situation this badly. McDaniels will be gone in 3 years without a good QB. Mark it down.

What a disaster in Denver.

According to Yahoo Sports, Cutlers QB rating last year was 86. Campbells was 84.3. The league average was 84.8. I don't see much of an upgrade myself.

Has Darth Hoody ever had a former assistant succeed as a head coach?

- Romeo Crennel - fired
- Mangini - fired from the Jets (but hired in Cleveland)
- Nick Saban - is the most hated man in Miami
- Al Groh - sucked with the Jets
- McDaniels - ???? (not having a good start in Denver)
