My point is, with names like Haynesworth, Hall, J.Taylor, OchoCinco, Jay Cutler, etc, Danny and Vinny have gone right back to falling in love with and often overvaluing big names (Haynesworth was not overvalued IMO). Not to mention the money. Very Pre-Gibbs behavior if you ask me.
I tend to think that on OchoCinco and Cutler, Vinny was just doing the dirty work for "opportunities of a lifetime" for Snyder. Hall, he seemingly will defend the deal until the day he dies, so he's to blame if that one doesn't work out.

How about we give the the Danny & Vinny a couple more years and if they revert back to their pre-Gibbs ways then throw them overboard (good luck with that). Pretty hard to make evaluations after one season of VC basicaly being the GM. The guy was a part of building the personnel for a SF championship and a Notre Dame championship.
It was the Presidency

On a separate note, does anyone else remember when Gibbs was part of a possible ownership team for the Redskins back in '99? I think it was Sam Grossman's team. I always found it curious that John Kent Cooke made no attempt to have Gibbs on his team

That IS curious. I wonder why and if it would have made any difference? Was Sam Grossman's team even close? I think if Danny brought Gibbs in as a managing partner, that would be pretty cool.

Yeah I remember him being part of a group, snyder kinda came out of nowhere after it looked like that one other team was going to get it.. but the nfl rejected

Mr. Joe Jackson Gibbs PERIOD

He does things the right way with class and dignity! And by the way about everything he touches turns to gold or at a minimum a winning first class organization!

Thanks for those THREE beautiful trophies JOE!

Hmm, one name just leaps out at me. Vince McMahon! No I honestly think Ted Leonsis would be an awsome owner. He is a honest to goodness owner who is not so vain to believe that knows it all, but will listen to his football guys and not his yes Vinnies, I mean yes men.

I agree 100% with ted leonsis as our dream owner...he doesn't axe a coach after his first year, he gives you a long good timeline as to how long you have to perform, he believes in building a team through the draft and occasional free agency, and hebuilds a team around a great star player

Condi Rice.

Why? Because we'd win and she'd piss off Washingtonians.
