Well, I'm glad our talent scouts suck.
Your love of Mason is perhaps only surpassed by Offiss' love of Ramsey

I was talking about which group would have a bigger man-crush. LOL.

I think the issue with Mason was not that he sucked. It's just that he offered less than any other RB on our roster. He couldn't contribute on teams and so he was let go.

However, a previous post implied that Mason had some kind of right to a 4th spot and that he was dealt with dishonestly, or in other words, it was not a football decision.

Put differently: If Mason beat out Portis, Betts, or Rock, there would have been no discussion on this issue. James is completely irrelevant to this.

Put yet differently: If the Redskins had it out for Mason and he was dealt with dishonestly, why would they bring him back, and why would he so quickly agree to come back?
Well we laid claim to him and won that. I don't recall some huge dishonesty issue, I mean sure it looked like we might carry him into the season, but we didn't; was there a huge fit about that that I don't recall?

Let's just hope that he can prove that he's worthy of a spot, which he hasn't here or elsewhere.

Good for him I always liked him, we need a young hungry RB behind CP I really didn't like what I saw from Betts (he did have a couple good carries toward the end of the season) but all in all is he worth the cap space? Does he produce enough to warrant a roster spot? I'll take Mason ..

Why sign him? Didn't we get someone else from CFL that has what he has and will be cut in Aug? Guess both can talk to the Turk together!

Well, I'm glad our talent scouts suck.
Ya know, first talent scouts and player personnel people acquire players. then you put them on the field, and the coaches evaluate same talent. Sometimes, a player looks great on paper and doesn't cut it on the field or vice versa. Mason looks good on paper, and is ok on the field. I don't think anyone on this board is suggesting he doesn't have talent, moreso, that he doesn't seem to move into the top rung of talent when he has the chance to shine.

Look, if he comes back, competes, and wins the spot, then I am very confident that everyone would support him and be excited for him. But, if as expected, he gets cut, I doubt it will be the difference in the Skins season.

Sorry but I don't see Mason replacing Bett's. Last year they only called Betts number 4.6 time per game so he never really had much of a chance to do anything on the field. I would love for Mason to come in and do good but its just not going to happen.

Think about it: Jesus was a carpenter; Marcus is a Mason. He wears #23 which is twice as many apostles minus that backstabber Judas. Both of their first names end in "us". Marcus keeps resurrecting his way to our preseason roster. They both walk on water. They can both lead the league in preseason rushing yards. And they're both God's gift to us.
Doubling 11 (12-Judas) is 22.

Carlos Rogers is a gift from God.

But you add back in the disciple who replaced Judas so that becomes 23. see.
