what was up with the fans booing the umps calls last night when they obviously made the right rulings? I know I still get pissed off when a ref adjusts a call that goes in favor of the team the skins r playing but I wouldn't throw balls or anything else onto the field. I mean they brought out the freakin' swat/riot squad

While no excuse, they didn't get to see close-up replays of A-rod swattting the ball. A lot of Yankee fans were disapointed with the fans behavior last night, this one included. But if lets say Johny Damon swats a ball and it happened in Boston, some of their fans would do the same thing. There are bad apples in any stadium.
It reminds me of the 1990 Eagles-Redskins playoff game I attended in Philly. That was the "Body Bowl" year and Buddy Ryan's last game before he got fired. Early in the game Philly ran back a fumble for a TD that was reversed by replay. You could still see the big screen in the stadium replay the "fumble" and it really looked like one until I got home later and saw the highlights, which showed the ground caused the fumble. Still the crowd was irate and the a-hole chants rang for 10 minutes. That changed the game and we took over from there. At halftime I was waiting in the concession line and was tackled by an Eagles fan, who was pulled away by his friend, before it got worse. |

That's kinda funny. Last year at the Dolphins Redskins game I got in a little scuffle with three Dolphins fans while I was getting beer. Of course I had to be by myself. I probally would have got my ass kicked if a bunch of friendlier Dolphin fans didn't break it up. I think Oakland and Philly would have to be the worst as far as asshole fans go. But it doesn't matter where you go your always going to run in to a few jerks!

Go Redsox!!
I'm a diehard Angels fan but I think it would be cool to see the Redsox come back after being down 3 games to the Yankees. If the Sox can pull it off I hope St.Louis or Houston can nock them off in the world series. :FIREdevil I really don't like the Yankees or the RedSox. Ther fans are freeking cowderheads and front runners! :FIREdevil

I'm not a baseball fan, but both the Houston/St Louis and Boston/New York series have been awesome.

Jeter is the complete MVP
Jeter is truely an MVP and Hall Of Famer! He has both the physical and mental gifts as well as being one of the truely greatest clutch players ever (if not the best)!

Jeter has a .368 career postseason batting average. And his primary job as the leadoff batter is to get on base so guys like A-Rod, Matsui, Sheffield can drive him in so walks aren't a bad thing at all for him

Tremendous comeback in this series by the Red Sox. Here's hoping they get swept in the World Series
