Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
I don't like plain. stripe-less pants for NFL teams...make them look collegiate or less.
A big design thing to me is consistency with striping throughout the uniform. The Skins do it right, look at the sleeve and pant striping. An example of a team that does it wrong is Dallas. None of the stripes or even colors match the other parts of the uniform, it's like they were designed by different people instead of together as a set. The Giants do the inconsistent striping too. These teams take the uniformity out of the uniforms. ![]()

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
i agree with you there buster. dallas' colors don't even match. if i had to go w stripes, i'd def go w the ones you displayed (nothing like that new age garbage the vikings, jaguars, etc. use)
how do you feel about the solid burgundy socks?

Solid socks are fine, I didn't touch the socks other than changing the gold shade on the striped ones.

I'd like to see them stick with the classic white jerseys and burgundy pants at home. I liked that they went back to the striped socks last week too.

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
Speaking of striped socks, what did people think of Denver's vertical stripes on those hideous throwbacks they wore last year?
I liked the idea of vertical stripes because of the way Jabar Gaffney wore them...he twisted them so the stripes weren't straight: ![]() Personally, I thought that was awesome! |

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
I loved them, when worn properly.
You can see the twisted ones in there: ![]() My favorite of the throwbacks were the Oilers light blue, Bills and Patriots. The Bills' curent uniforms are a complete mess, they should return to the old standing buffalo white helmet full time. The Patriots need Pat back, Flying Elvis was always ugly. I also thought the Vikings throwback last year was a big upgrade, even with the mismatched purple helmet. If they'd take that striping design with the current metallic purple....perfection. Their current one is a piping mess. ![]() Sadly, the Oilers are gone forever. I always loved all of their uniforms.

This year's throwbacks: Packers, Bears, Eagles, Colts.
