Also, I find it funny that you own a Jetta.
Owned it 12 years ago, in college. :cheeky-sm

Driven American cars since. I find it amusing that you drive Jap crap.

I own 3 japanese cars (truly manufactured in Japan) and two american cars. I enjoy all cars. I have certain preferences, but I don't hate on others who may not share the same tastes. At the end of the day I'd rather feel good about what I like than angry about what you like. You should try it sometime.

Nope, I'm a software engineer.

I just love cars and I love working on them in my free time.

I have ever only owned one Toyota. Buster's Toyota hatred is notorious (do a search for 'Toyota' on this site and no doubt you'll find a myriad of posts where Buster is trying his best to bash them). I feel that I need to set the record straight whenever he throws out his "facts". Not because I'm a diehard Toyota kool-aid drinker, but because I think it's the right thing to do.

Edit at 7:30pm
*I take back the bolded above. We owned another. My wife bought a brand new Scion tC (a Toyota brand) when they first came out. She drove it for 6 months, decided it wasn't for her, and we traded it for a new Jeep.*

Show me a post in a Ford thread here where I "trolled".

Like I said, I like all cars. I was up your way on June 5th. Go check out what was going on at the Carlisle Fairgrounds that day.

Didn't you say you just did the brakes? I replaced my rear pads about a month ago and at 77k, they still had a lot of life left. I hated to swap them, but I wanted to get my new pads on and get everything cleaned up back there.

Re: F...Toyota

yes i had my local guy do my pads, that is why i brought it to him first but it never sound like a brake issue and he confirmed it was not. I trust him and have spent $K with him over the past ten years. He has had made mistakes and always goes to great lengths to fix his errors.

Plus since they pulled the brakes off to do the wheel bearings who knows if they put them back correctly.

Again I think it just service advisor talk to keep me busy while they figure it out, the last thing they want to do is pry open the diff unless they are positive that is the issue.

Did they drain the diff fluid? I think the drain plug has a magnet on it, so if the thing is shredded, that plug should tell a story. As well as the oil.
