Re: Pro Bowl Thread.

I tuned in for maybe a quarters worth of action. Mainly because there just wasn't much else on.

Re: Pro Bowl Thread.

the pro bowl is always a joke .. but for crying out loud the Skins' looked damn good .... why can't we be happy for a minute if Fletch, Rak, & HALL looked great tonight .. they are all coming back and are part of the nucleus that will turn this Defense around ... Hall is a playmaker, he has been since day 1 in Washington .. you can't deny the guy catches the ball and finds his way to the endzone ... love me some DeAngelo #23 .. HTTR

Why is it that Redskins look good in events that dont mean anything?

Don't forget this game was played very lazily. Half hearted rushes by the DLine, can't hit on extra points, its a very nonchalant game since people don't want to get hurt and its for more of having a good time than a must win for most of the players.

I saw Fletch doing a happy dance to a DHall interception. While the game may not have been a "must-win" for him, the moment encapsulated for me how much pure pleasure Fletch takes in playing the game as well as how important it is to him to win, even if it is just the Pro Bowl.

OMG did you see some of the tackling efforts by many of the defensive players???? Embarassing, but i guess if getting injured in a game like that could cost me million then i would probably ease up a little......Oh that reminds me of a player who didnt ease up at the pro bowl.............Once a year i will always remember thi and laugh my ars off!!

Re: Pro Bowl Thread.

EVERYBODY knows the pro-bowl doesn't mean anything and they don't try hard ... we get it .. everyone gets it .. just enjoy our boys having fun and making a few plays ... nobody needs a lecture on how the pro-bowl isn't a playoff game ..

YouTube - Sean Taylor Pro Bowl Hit
I remember when ST was picked for the pro bowl I said it was a bad idea because he only knows how to play at one speed.

Right on bro! But at the same time in order to get in the Pro Bowl, a player must demonstrate an above average skill set. The game itself means nothing but the skill it takes to play in the game means everything.

The guys who represented the Redskins in the Pro Bowl are all among the best of the best.

HTTR!!!

Re: Pro Bowl Thread.

For the life of me I can not believe anyone watched that garbage. I turned it on for 5 minutes and could barely stand it. The NFL just needs to do away with this game for two reasons. 1. It's watered down beyond belief. 2. It's painfully obvious that no one is trying, expecially the guys playing defense.

And yet it got even better ratings than last year.

We should have traded for another 1st-round pick and drafted Alex Mack.

Fletcher is like that too, I saw him make 4 tackles on 5 plays at one point last night, with 3 plays in a row and the final being on a 4th down that didn't make it to the marker because of him.

I still laugh how the punter came and congratulated Taylor on that hit.

Re: Pro Bowl Thread.

Oops. Well, I didn't watch it at all... And after watching that last play, I'm SO glad I didn't waste my time on it! Still, glad to see some Redskin in the highlight reel doing something good -- instead of being benched, not playing, being IR'ed, unexpectedly released.....

Bring on the draft..
