Re: 2011 NFL Uniform Thread
Sometimes I want them to break out the Lombardi era throwbacks. I like the gold helmets with the "R" logo.

The Skins, no. The only changes could come from Nike's designs/cut of the uniforms. Sp speculation for the Skins.

Re: 2011 NFL Uniform Thread
LOL, I had to bump this back up.lol.
Why? because I have figured out how to solve our uniform issue's. I know some will say there is no issue but believe you me some like the older uni's and some like the current uni's and some want a whole new idea. So .... there I was surfing the internet and low and behold I saw this..... (EDIT: it didn't work) I hope it worked. In any event it's Marylands two sided helmet. Re: 2011 NFL Uniform Thread
Maryland's new uniforms are ridiculously ugly. Who thought that look would be a good idea?

Re: 2011 NFL Uniform Thread
^ Really? They're near perfection in my opinion.
The helmet stripe is interesting how it gets wide at the back of the helmet, but they've gone from the ugliest team in the league to one of the better-looking teams in my opinion. Blue pants to wear with the white jerseys would be the only change I make, the all-white is not one of my favorite looks. I disliked the Skins white-on-white too. So you prefer the Bledsoe-era uniforms?

Re: 2011 NFL Uniform Thread
Yeah, MD has the best state flag in the nation, but those uniforms were HIDEOUS.
I pray that Nike isn't allowed to stray too far from the team identities when they do the NFL's uniforms next season. I don't think they'll be given a long leash like the NCAA teams give them...NFL teams have team identities and branding to protect. Thankfully the NFL has a lot of uniform restrictions and rules...no alternate helmets other than throwbacks...a limit to the # of times an alternate/throwback can be worn, etc. I never thought I'd ever be praising the NFL's overbearing uniform code, but Nike scares me. They simply have no taste. The Seahawks might become the Oregon of the pros if anyone does.

Re: 2011 NFL Uniform Thread
Any word on the mustard pants this year? Personally, I could do without them. I like the way they've done things this preseason. Burgundy jerseys/white pants at home; the reverse for away games.
From 1981 - 2000 we NEVER saw the burgundy jerseys at home. And since most teams don't wear white at home we practically never saw the burgundy jerseys period. It's nice to see a change every now and then. |

Personally I liked the "yellow" pants and wish they would use something more closer to the pewter color "gold" vs. the yellow or mustard gold. However I could be content with just about anything as long as they are winning. I would like to see a crayola "gold" used as the base for the helmet and burgundy and white stripes with either a burgundy arrow or the current logo used. I know the arrow design would look too much like Florida for some of you folks, but I'm not a college fan so I could care less. I also could substitute the white with black. Remember white was not in the original colors (burgundy and gold), Gibbs added and used the white jerseys which caught on because they were winning. |

Re: 2011 NFL Uniform Thread
I loved the burgundy and gold look we wore at home games last year, it was most excellent. I hope they keep up with that this year and in future years. Only time I see it being unacceptable is when it conflicts with the opposing teams' colors, i.e. in the Packers game last year.

Re: 2011 NFL Uniform Thread
We're still wearing burgundy jerseys with GOLD (not mustard, not yellow, GOLD pants) pants. Bruce Allen confirmed it.
Interestingly enough, though, it's possible we could have a new jersey... |

Good, that B&G set is one of the best-looking uniforms in the NFL and I'm not even saying that with bias...it looks amazing. I still prefer the burgundy pants with the white jerseys. About that "new jersey", I doubt it...teams have to notify the league about a year in advance of a uniform change and that would have been leaked on uniform blogs by now.
