Re: Skins v Rams pregame

Will Grossman have all his weapons at his disposal? will Armstrong be healthy to play? I don't recall Stallworth doing much in Dallas. Will the blocking be there for Hightower and Helu?

What ever happened to the Skins targeting 6-8 different recievers? It always seems to come down to the Moss and Cooley show. The team can win this game but there has to be a better game plan, better play calling, better blocking, and better execution. That said....

31-24 Skins.

Seems the world is back to normal. People see Grossman as a up/down QB again, and not a Hero carrying the Redskins to a undefeated season, and experts are picking the Rams to beat us this week making us the underdogs once again.

I'm glad everything is normal again

Most people are taking the Rams, thats a good thing I like being the underdog

Rams are giving up 170 yards a game on the ground and 33 PPG! Holy shit

No way we see Beck before week 5, even if Rex shits the bed the next two weeks. Thank God some of us aren't coaching the Skins.

What you wrote sounds reasonable but I wouldn't bet that Mike Shanahan would let Rex play poorly for two whole games without pulling him. I think that MS would pull Rex the minute he started to believe that Rex was the problem with the offense.

I'd like to stress that I don't think that Rex or anyone on the offense or the defense or special teams has been a glaring weakness at this point in the season. I just believe that MS would pull any player the minute he thought that player was hurting the team.

It's true. This team does not have an obvious weakness. Quarterback, maybe? Hall is an obvious weakness when he's man to man on the opponents best receiver w/o safety help, but that's a schematic choice, not a personnel flaw.

Being competent also requires some star power we may not have just yet, ergo, the Redskins might be a year away from achieving competency, but the roster seems balanced enough to sustain itself this year.

Idk if the rams are talented enough to blow themselves out much less the redskins.. They have no talent at all on offense except 8 and 39

Kendricks is pretty solid, but yes, this is not much of an offense.

Even bad offenses can exploit weaknesses though.

You're correct, but that doesn't mean the chances are better than 50-50. Vegas has the game as a pick-em.

I'm just saying that if we lose, people will line up to crab about some intangible the team is lacking, but really, this is a road game that we're going to win only about half the time. 3-1 at the bye feels a heck of a lot different than 2-2, so I'm not saying it doesn't matter. I'm just saying we're only kind of good, and kind of good teams don't go on the road and make it look easy except when they play the very worst teams.

The Rams are pretty bad, but they're not one of the five worst teams in football. And they will certainly compete with us at home unless they make all the same mistakes they did last week. In which case, they should fire their coaches.

I'd say they are in the group of Miami, Cincy and Carolina.. They could win at home but they are a 5 win team. I am concerned though because Rexy just makes me nervous man .. I hope we can run it all day and force a couple Tos
