I just asked this very same question in the other thread, lol! In a way, I'm a bit jealous, but at the same time, I think it's great that other teams who have similar quarterbacks like RGIII, are able to have success with the option read.

Debating RG vs Kaepernick/Wilson outside the context of value is absurd. Even giving RG the slight nod statistically, the fact Harbaugh and PC got their "RGs" in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, without mortgaging their franchise' futures on a single player who is then literally ran into the ground over a single season, makes those players (and more importantly those two coaches) far superior to what we have.

when it's all said and done, if griff has more rings than kaepernick and wilson, are they still the better value?

Calling Kapernick and Wilson better than RG3 is just flat out ridiculous. Give RG3 those offensive lines and those defenses, good luck even making a comparison. Give either of them our O-line and they would probably be considered prospects at best.

They are both on better teams, but neither is remotely better.

There's no point comparing the three QBs straight across. It's a team sport. To build a serious contender in the NFL you need to find value every year in the draft and FA. Those franchises have done it. We have not. Period.

Since you mean this as an anti-Shanny thing. Do you honestly think that either of those two franchises only have players within 3 years of their being on the team?

San Fran specifically has been doing well in the draft area for a long time (A lot more than 3 years). The players flat out quit on Singletary. Harbaugh went places with Alex Smith... Mark Sanchez went to how many AFC Championship games in his young career?

So you might as well add Alex Smith and Mark Sanchez to the list of QB's that are better than RG3. I think your list excludes Gabbert, but not so much anyone else. Your standard, not mine.

Have you been watching? Its like we had a 10 loss season reading your post. We have been building through the draft.

And yes you can compare the QB play...its like you have no pride in your team. Goat its ok to say RG3 is better than Wilson and Kapernick...because he is.

That will be interesting. Right now, Manning, Brady, and Rodgers are the three that always seem to be compared, even though they started many years apart.

Then we've got 4 new quarterbacks who are all really good. Then you've got the other very good, but not elite, guys like Flacco, Ryan, Rothlisberger, Rivers, Romo. And finally, there's the good young quarterbacks that show promise, like Newton, Stafford, Bradford, and Dalton.

I cant remember a time when there have been this many GOOD quarterbacks in the league at the same time. One thing is for sure - i see no incentive in using a pick in the first 5 rounds of the 2013 fantasy draft on a quarterback.

All solid points but Rivers has been terrible. His fall from elite status is pretty shocking.

I actually debated even including him; however, he's been so good for so long, i couldnt bring myself to remove him. He really had no talent around him this year though. None. No running backs, no receivers, and Gates was non-existent. Their new coach and GM will have their work cut out for them.
