Well, to be honest i think i could call out, but it would be frowned upon.
The reason i say that is that we were sent an email this afternoon in Re: to the snow, and we were told that we were expected to be at work tomorrow. Now, at the time that was sent, it was 45 degrees and sunny so maybe the company was just doing due diligence. I am hoping and praying that i wake up in the morning and have a call or a text from the boss saying to not come in, that the office will be closed. We could have 10 inches on the ground by morning i mean it's snowing to beat the band out there right now....

I once drove through a foot of snow to get to work, only to find my boss stunned that I had shown up. My boss promptly sent me home.

Looks like the snow is just starting go pick up here in DC. Its not sticking to the roads yet though. I suppose the day is young though.
Looks like the final accumulation forecasts sits at 5-10 inches in DC as of this morning.

I tell ya, where I work(near BWI), this was a bust
 just a bunch of rain. I had rented a movie and ps3 game with intents of waking up and seeing enough to justify not coming in. So much for that grand plan, at 6am, the grass was still green, and just a bunch of rain on the ground...

Nice one Lotus.
When I left for work this morning there was already a couple of inches on the ground in Woodbridge, and it was sticking to the roads. Up here in Alexandria it's coming down hard but not sticking yet. Hopefully they let us go once it starts sticking. The bad thing about commuting northbound is that once it starts affecting where I work, I already know it will be worse where I live. I'm not looking forward to driving home today. |

North of B-more; nothing not even rain just wind.
Some dumb B i nmy office actually called out and my boss just sent her a email and cc'ed everyone and asked if she needed help squeegeeing her driveway. IT was priceless! LOL! She is the same one that is from ID and says MD people are wimps when it it comes snow; yet always the first to call out on snow days.

I dunno if this is a snow day as much as a rain day.
Anyone live out near Frederick/Hagerstown? I need the snow there to stick so class is cancelled tomorrow.
