I mean if you are trying to crack a joke at least indicate it somewhat so I won't bother wasting my time to respond. Either way w/e.

Personally I'm looking forward to just seeing a contact sport again. Baseball's ok to pass the time but I miss football. I'm looking forward to seeing how our defense does this year, I'm still not sold on them yet.

Redskins announce that, unlike in past years, RGIII will be available every time the team has a media availability.

I have mixed thoughts on this. Primarily though, I just see it as multiple opportunities for poor word choices to get blown out of proportion.

Shielding him was probably a bad idea to start with.

I agree. With more time at the podium, (a) RGIII will learn to deal with the media better, and (b) it won't be such a big deal, and there won't be the silly scrutiny over every syllable he utters.

Sounds like he's been doing some good things so far. If he can eat right and hit the weights hard, perhaps he can avoid the injury bug and eventually carve out a nice role behind Morris. I love Seastrunk, but I think Thompson's experience will be the deciding factor in that battle.

As far as RG3, I agree that more media time will help. The media won't have to reach so much for stories and make mountains out of molehills. Of course, as long as hacks like Sally Jenkins have reporting jobs, he'll be subjected to more criticism than most players, but this should help somewhat.

Re: Set it all aside -- Training Camp Begins

Love Barry Cofield.....
just watched him do a live int from camp. Said all the right things about the D for this year, improvements, etc. Seems to buy in and by observation, totally endorses Haz. Good stuff.
It's a GREAT time of year to be a Redskin fan.......
btw...2, Love the honesty and style which Jay speaks to the media. Very truly informative. I wish he could throw in an occasional "fights his guts out".
I have not heard any..."like how he handles himself"....

Thompson's been in the league for a whole season already and is entering his second training camp, plus you have to think he was already ahead of where Seastrunk is now when the former came into the league due to a more Redskins-similar scheme at FSU as compared to Baylor.

We shouldnt worry about DY, sounds like he is recognized as a baller by staff. I wouldnt mind us developing a lil depth behind him. Fullback is such a physical position.

He also barely played in the regular season. His "experience" has nothing to do with anything this point. Also, nothing about him says he is ahead of Seastrunk was at this point last year because he was hurt for the majority of the off-season.

I really don't care to argue this, but I am bored, so...

I would argue that practicing with and just being around NFL players, being coached by NFL coaches, being in the Redskins weight room, and the game experience he got, even if it was only 8 games(if you count the preseason), does actually give him an experience advantage.

And to my second point, the blocking scheme and running game Thompson ran in at FSU is more similar to our offense's than Baylor's is, so I think my assumption was a safe one. I'm sure you've heard Seastrunk characterized as "raw"?

To be fair every rookie has a degree of "raw" in them. I dont care to argue it either but I am saying there really isn't much experience factor between Seastrunk and Thompson.
