Like I said. Manning has to rely on 30+ other players to do it as well, and quite frankly he hasn't had the same support as many of these guys you list. Same with Dan Marino. One game eliminations isn't something you base a person's worth on. To do so is short sighted and narrow minded to say the least.
Wasn't the great Bill Polian his team architect? Didn't they build some great teams in Indy and have pretty good coaches? Take the blinders off, I'd take Brady over Manning any day. So you have to be childish and start name calling? Grow up man.

They built a great offensive team, not a great team. The defenses sucked.

Listen, you don't win in the playoffs with a high power offense. Defense rules in the playoffs. History shows that time and time and time again.

If you want to win the regular season, have a great offense. You want to win in the post season, have a good defense.

Name calling? WTF are you talking about? Can you show me where I called you a name? Holy Raptor Jesus you should learn to read.

I'm done with this. You aren't worth the effort. Namely because your logic (none) is all over the place.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 7

Today is Manning's day. He is one of the best to ever do it. He might not be the best to ever do it in some people's opinion (including mine to be honest) but you can't deny what he has accomplished. He's thrown more than 100 touchdown passes in the last three years which is crazy to think about considering he just came off neck surgery.

All time touchdown leader.
5 time MVP.
One of the greatest QBs to ever play.

Whether he's the absolute best or not, Peyton Manning is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history and in my opinion we're blessed to witness his career live. But no, let's just dismiss him as a Super Bowl choker

how close were we? 2nd or 3rd option?

Oh how things would be different if King Shanny would have not had that much control of the personel moves. Thanks Dan

NHL passes its first test in the post Ray Rice era

Slava Voynov of Los Angeles Kings suspended indefinitely - ESPN Los Angeles

Quote:
Slava Voynov was arrested Monday morning on domestic violence charges and has been suspended indefinitely from the Los Angeles Kings pending a formal investigation by the NHL.

A rule in the collective bargaining agreement states that, during a criminal investigation, "the League may suspend the Player pending the League's formal review and disposition of the matter where the failure to suspend the Player during this period would create a substantial risk of material harm to the legitimate interests and/or reputation of the League."

Reached by telephone Monday morning, Voynov's agent, Rolland Hedges, declined to comment about the situation.

"I'm sorry, I really can't," he told ESPN.com.

Hedges said he was working on gathering more information about the situation.

The defenseman will continue to be paid during the suspension. Voynov has two assists in six games this season.

When asked about the issue of domestic violence at the beginning of this season, commissioner Gary Bettman said the league had been working with the union on the policy for over a decade.

"We as a league have more than enough authority and mechanisms to punish, if necessary, in the appropriate case. Fortunately we haven't seen too many. But more importantly we focus on counseling and education, and in the joint programs we have with the Players' Association we've been counseling and educating on domestic violence for more than a decade, I don't remember the exact date," he said. "The security department does it in their annual meetings with each team, and the behavioral counselors from the substance abuse, behavioral health program also counsel and educate the players on those and many other issues.

"So I'm not sure for us there is any need for any code of conduct other than our players, who overwhelming conduct themselves magnificently off the ice -- we deal with it on a case by case basis. I don't think we need to formalize anything more. Our players know what's right and wrong, and as I said, we have the mechanisms in place to hopefully not get to that point."

ESPN.com's Katie Strang and ESPN The Magazine's Craig Custance contributed to this report.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 7

If Brian Orakpo thinks he's "elite", he should watch this Texans game to understand what elite really is. Watt has made more plays/turnovers in a couple games than Rakpo has his entire career.
