We been drafting Olinemen...may be the wrong ones or piss poor coaching. I think its a combo of both. Still shaking my head at the Lauvao signing. He's made no improvemenat at his position.

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Reading between the lines in some of Keim's and other local media posts - the team is and, in recent history, has been about "We are talented enough to win" instead of "regardless of talent, winning requires hard work and consistent attention to detail." The locals talk of a loose team that jokes around after losses, dances to music while waiting to run drills, and, generally, seems to believe winning requires only some talented players.
You want to stop making mental mistakes? Pay attention, practice harder. While some rare players are talented enough to be the exception (and I would suggest none are on the current Skins team), the "you play like you practice" rule is applicable to everyone at this level. Not sure the current players believe that. I thought one of the positive things Shanny brought to the team was a step away from the sense of entitlement and the culture of "we are good enough." Apparently, I was wrong. Hey Redskins - You are not good enough. You haven't been good enough. AND you won't be good enough until you consistently practice like you aren't good enough!

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
Outside of Trent Williams and Kory L at center we got nobody on the Oline worth a shit.

This is a team that sucks across the board for all the talk of talent and skill on this team, it hasn't shown it, and it can't all be put at the feet of one guy (heck the team lost a bunch of games while he was out) |

Hope we see some of the turds in the locker room flushed this offseason. Clearly not everyone is on the same page. When DJ is calling guys out that's not good at all. |

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
The same mental mistakes happened under Shanahan. Picking and then developing players is something we don't do well if at all.

Not like we were stocking up on OL in the first two rounds before that though

Re: Bucs Postgame Thread
As to Oline, sure, we have only a couple guys in the 1st or 2nd round, but we have drafted several in the 3rd and 4th and more in the 6th and 7th. If you look around the league, lots of good, solid lines have guys who were drafted in later rounds or were brought in as UFA's.
Other than a stretch under Vinny, we have consistently brought in linemen. If you constantly bring in solid developmental guys, the odds are that you will get some good starters along the way and continue to develop depth. The plan is not inherently flawed. The execution has been.
