That outfit looks like it was loaned to him by Hilary Clinton. The shoes are cute, though.

The skins will pull the upset this week, I just have a feeling we r on a roll and not counting the Pats game because they make most teams look avg.

This game will be the defining moment for the 2015 Redskins. Will they step forward and win a game on the road against an unbeaten opponent. Can they score consistently without any turnovers against a top five defense. Will they stick with the game plan and mix the run and pass or will they revert back to panic coaching and throw the ball 50 times. Can they contain an accurate, allusive and athletic quarterback. They haven't done so in the past, this is the ultimate test....
Call me a fool, but I think they can.

Re: Time to take the next Step: Skins vs kitty cats Pre-game thread
I used to get the Kool-Aid good feeling every week. Really. I was absolutely convinced we would win every week. After 2012, man, I knew we had turned the corner. I was beyond hyped. Then came 2013 and the crushing disappointment, back-biting, and assorted BS - and 3 wins. In 2014, I allowed myself to be positive at first. I defended the Gruden hire, the retention of Haslett, I believed in a resurgent RGIII. By the end of the season I was truly, truly done. I, a 40+ year fan, was done. I just couldn't get excited about them - at all. This was a franchise with no light at the end of the tunnel - just one with more and more tunnel.
Yes. They have improved some. Yes. The drama seems to be (mostly) gone. Yes. The talent acquisition process improved. Yes. Long live Scot McC. BUT ... This is the Redskins. After 20+ seasons of abysmal to mediocre football with good football being the unsustainable anomaly, I have no trust that they will step up. They are starting a 27 year old QB who has a history of inconsistent play. In fact, despite his recent improvement and solid to really good play over the last three games, has - just this season - thrown a Romoesque pick six, been a turnover machine, had games and quarters within games where he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. I am in full on Doubting Thomas mode. I'll believe it when I see it. I am he of little faith - because my faith has been sorely abused season after season, failure after failure. At the end of the season, they may be 7 to 9 win team. People will be excited about the improvement. They will give us just enough to feed the horrible addiction ... but then they will regress. Excuses will be made, a fresh start had, and the cycle of mediocrity and disappointment will continue on as we feed our addiction and line the pushers' pockets with our money. We will lose Sunday. We may look good doing it, but we will lose.

Re: Time to take the next Step: Skins vs kitty cats Pre-game thread
Last week Cam became the second QB ever (Steve Young is the first and record holder) to run for a TD and pass for a TD in 30 consecutive games. I would love to see that streak end this week but not so sure it will he is playing with a lot of confidence as he should be hopefully our defense steps up and takes Greg Olsen away maybe use DHall to ball hawk Cam?

Cam Newton has ran and passed for a TD in 30 consecutive games?
just looked it up .. he has 6 rushing TDs on the year in 9 games damn impressive still. Cam Newton - Carolina Panthers - 2015 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com -------------------- I also didnt think Cam would amount to much with his early pouting and play and I havent seen him play yet this year but i now like the guy. giving every TD ball to a young fans scores points in my book. seems to do a lot of off field stuff. seems like generally a genuine good dude. he has grown. good for him.

It's that Steve Young is the only QB to get 31 games with both a rushing and passing TD OVER HIS CAREER. Cam is at 30 already. If he gets another run+pass TD this week, he ties the record. If not, he'll have to wait and try again against Dallas. I know that doesn't change you not wanting that to happen this week. Just letting you know that it doesn't break a streak. |

Hmm maybe he has done it in 30 games but not consecutively/ I heard it on the radio and must have misunderstood.

When we drafted him, he was not a great leader, he did appear to sulk when it was going bad, etc. Plus he had come off of some very stupid, immature off-field moves in college. He has done an absolutely amazing job of putting all of that behind him, but unfortunately it will follow him for a very long time. So I completely understand that fans of other teams are going to still think of those things and not necessarily keep up with how/if he's worked on it. |
