I guess I'm being too positive on Brock, but he has faced and succeeded against some pretty tough competition right off the bench. Granted, he does have a talented defense and some good weapons around him. But some QBs have that and still don't get it done in that situation.

You could make the argument of something along the lines of:

1. Wilson
2. Luck
3. Cousins/Osweiller

This is giving Luck the benefit of the doubt and waiting to see what both Osweiller and Cousins can do in the playoffs (fingers crossed for Cousins).
Osweiller has started 4 games in this league. He should not even be ranked until he has a larger body of work.

Are we all buying Wilson as the best out of that crew? Is Cousins better than Luck at this point, equal?
I've always bought that, even in 2012. Imo Wilson has been underrated for awhile.

Now Cousins vs Luck? Not sure if serious.

I am dead serious about Cousins v Luck. Now to be fair I have been a negative Nelly on Luck from day 1. Saw Gruden's QB carousel show with him and decided that he wasn't what the Luck cult was selling. I had started to turnaround on him, but then this year happened.

Look at Cousins this year, vs Luck's 2013(2nd year starter) stats

..................Cousins.....Luck
Games ...........13,.........16
Completion % 69.2,......60.2
Yards / Game 254.2,....238.9
TD %..............4.0,....... 4.0
INT % .............2.4, ......1.6
40_+ yds .........6, ........ 9
Sacks ..............23,....... 32
Rating .............93.2, .... 87.0

stats are from NFL stats page.

I'm not saying Kirk definitely is better than Luck, but I have never held Luck on any type of pedestal either.

edit: I hate white space formatting in these!

Re: Around the nfl week 14

So far in his career Luck has got the benefit of the doubt purely on the volume of his production. Everything bad he has done has been overlooked because with those 35-40 attempts a game he usually ends up with 300+ yards and a couple TDs.

Luck has made a career out of playing games the way Kirk did last year against the Eagles where he had a ton of good slinging it all over the field, but also had killer turnovers. The difference is people say it made Kirk a turnover machine, yet with Luck it was "growing pains"

This isn't me saying Luck isn't going to be elite, I just think that a lot of his bad side has been apologized for and brushed to the side because of being labeled as the heir apparent from day one.

You usually make terrific posts here and are always well-educated on the stats that you post, but what makes you rank Griffin above Cousins? Aside from one brilliant rookie year in 2012, Griffin has utterly tanked as a starter and looked lost in our offense.

I realize that Cousins has not exactly set the world on fire, but he's had several games this season where he has given us a look into the future i believe - a top tier quarterback who is able to rally the team and bring us back from the brink of defeats. Four 4th quarter comebacks this year and i think its obvious to everyone that Cousins at least so far, has played superior to Griffin in every category.

Cousins is a guy that the team can build around. I can't wait to see him next year with a better offensive line and some more weapons on Offense...

His twin is the GM, Raleigh is his right hand man.

I did feel like it was a troll post, Tannehill next to Luck was a bit of a clue also. It's like he took the drafted order, dropped Weeden raised Wilson, and said with an evil grin, that'll get'em going!

(but I do think that deep in his heart of hearts this is how he wants it to be. )

Check this out. FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | ESPN: Andrew Luck Is Pretty Lucky with Interceptions

"There's no denying Luck forces a lot of dangerous passes, even in situations that don't require them. He's had 27 interceptions dropped by defenders over the last three years according to our game charting."

At this time, the only logical path is to forcibly remove 30Gut to the.....Drunk Thread.
