Su'a Cravens' increased reps help D; second-half success - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN
Redskins defensive coordinator Joe Barry said they were going to increase Su’a Cravens’ reps and that’s what happened Sunday. Cravens played a season-high 35 snaps – and even saw time at outside linebacker. That’s where he was aligned when he shot through and recorded a tackle for a loss in the first half. The Redskins had three down linemen, but one of them was Trent Murphy on the right side (with Ryan Kerrigan behind him). Another time when Cravens was aligned here, he shot up and took on the pulling guard three yards deep, helping hold a run to one yard. You can’t use this alignment vs. every team, but Cravens’ quickness provides a different look from this spot. Give the coaches credit for tapping into Cravens’ versatility (though this is why he was drafted in the first place). They’ve expanded his role and he keeps playing well. By the way, Mason Foster has been rather steady of late, and that's been a positive development.

Yup. Was wondering about him during Detroit week. I think it is probably a pretty common name for Detroit fans though,.... |

Re: Skins-Vikings post game
Watching this Giants game, another observation...this new Giants stadium just doesn't have the life the meadowlands had. It's quiet...and not a lot of energy. And whenever the camera pans to the crowd it's just filled with the ugliest fans in the league. It's a troll fest drinking the shitest beers in the country. It's Like a monument to a pile of shit.

Re: Skins-Vikings post game
The Giants have their strengths. The short passing game and a solid pass rush. However, they are much further from being a complete team than us and the Cowboys.
The loss to Dallas and the non-win against Cinci will likely really come back to haunt us. Change those outcomes and we are playing for the division lead on Thanksgiving. I am going out on a limb and saying I think we hit another win streak over the next five games. At the end of the year, we still end up in 2nd because, as much as I hate to admit it, I just don't know where the Cowboys lose three games. They have us, the Ravens, Detroit & T. Bay at home and Minnesota, Giants and Eagles away. I say we beat them, that's one. I suspect they will lose to two others on the list - just cause. However, we would need to run the table and have them go 4-3 to close out the season to win the division. Just don't see those two things happening. We are going to lose at least one more game, probably two. Depending on how things break down, I think we make the play-offs, but the Cowboys (blecchh) take the division & probably the number one seed. Oh, and I hate that I was soooo wrong about Elliot.

I was wrong about Elliot Philly spends multiple picks on Wentz, gets them back and Wentz plays good (I hope he flubs long term) Dallas uses a 4th round pick and appears to have a long term starter KC's pick in the redzone in the first game NYG spends lavishly in FA and at least sees production from several starters. Hopkins miss That I have to root for Baltimore this weekend. that, even I think we have a very potent offense and defense, we still may be 3rd in the division, because our coach lacks, imo, the go for the throat mentality. But here's looking at a path to the SB that includes defeating NYG, Seattle, Dallas!! Last edited by CRedskinsRule; 11-15-2016 at 01:55 PM. |

Re: Skins-Vikings post game
The old days of salting a game away are over with. A 14-0 lead might as well be 3-0 especially when it's so early in the game. The Vikings caught some breaks and got back into it, that's how shit goes. It's not like we're the 85 Bears who should be blowing teams out.
