Taylor has a lengthy injury history, Hood does not. Also, Hood does whatever he is asked to do. I liked the Taylor story, but I think it was the smart move.

Re: Final Cuts 2018
Hopefully our redzone offense improves to the point where we don't need the kicker as much. Maybe we can start converting those 3rd and shorts and get 7's instead of 3's.

Surprise, surprise. Put a fork on this puss!!
From some Denver writer: Broncos S Su’a Cravens heading to IR and is expected to have another knee procedure. Heard a few weeks ago another procedure on his knee might be needed.

Re: Final Cuts 2018
It’s for the best, I like the developmental story with Lanier, but the dude just can’t anchor at the point of attack. He’s too easy to move in the run game. He’s not a fit for OLB so he only has value as a situational pass rusher from the interior spots but unless we have our top guys hurt you wouldn’t want to take Allen Ioannidis or Payne off the field in those situations. Only two out of the three will be on the field for those plays, so Lanier becomes the fourth.
That just doesn’t help in enough situations. Your 5th and 6th guys need to rotate in to keep guys fresh and be versatile enough to fill in on both pass and run downs if your starters are hurt. Brantley is definitely more versatile. The sacks Lanier got were enticing but the 2nd and 2s were not.

Re: Final Cuts 2018
Whatayamean practice squad? As you know, all players claimed off of waivers must be added to the 53 man roster and a corresponding number of players must be be dropped from the 53 man roster to make room for them. How does swapping out 6 players not speak to the Giants' lack of depth? Not fake news! Real news.
