Also Ron didn’t look good at the presser...I think the treatment is really affecting him. Being that he is high risk for covid, I’d really like him to step away. He doesn’t need to prove anything, just get better.

Re: Giants part 1 Dumpster Fire postgame
Scott Turner offensive play calling is hard for me to grade. Everything is within 10 yards of the LOS and its like 1st and 2nd down plays are designed to try and get into a 3rd and short. Like making it 3rd and managable is the goal.
Every play seems to be a low risk, take what the D gives you play call, with the hope someone can break a tackle and make more yards than the play is designed to get. There are no intermediate to deep throws. There are no throws to stretch a defense or keep safeties honest. I read that Turner called lots of short stuff last year bc he was adjusting his scheme around his QB Allen who had a weak arm. But then this year with Haskins we saw a bunch of short stuff so I thought maybe Haskins isnt seeing the deeper routes? We have been calling 10 variations of screens with Haskins, tons of slip screens ... yesterday I dont remember seeing one screen call. I think we have been blessed to have Gruden, McVay and OConnell calling plays for us because those guys play designs were on point. The routes worked well together - forced a defender to have pick btw 2 routes allows the QB to just read that 1 defender - they were layered well (long, medium, short) so the Qb progressions were smooth - they would do a variation of the same look later in the game. I dont think we threw it over 20 yards until we got within 20 yards of the end zone. Seems intentional and maybe its the smart play with the lack of O talent. We cant get into a shootout with teams so control the ball, control the clock, hope your D can get a turnover or two and do just enough on offense to kick a game winning FG as the clock expires. Playcalling .. especially after watching what McVay/OConnell did to us last week .. seems weak.

If he was cut now, 33 million in dead money and a cap LOSS of 18.8m. Cut in 2021 = 18.8 million in dead cap and a cap loss of 1.6M. Cut after 2021, 9.6 m dead money, 6.6M in cap savings. Collins is a skin for this year and next year. Hes the equivalent of the Orioles Chris Davis. Moving him to a sub package as a LB is an option but I feel like he is already doing that on some plays hes damn near the LOS. https://overthecap.com/player/landon-collins/3881/

Re: Giants part 1 Dumpster Fire postgame
Collins can’t play in space...go back and watch him on the Daniel Jones run, especially at the los...
After you watch the Daniel jones run, come here and explain to me how in gods name did Dan and Bruce give him that contract? They made him the highest paid on year avg safety in the league

Re: Giants part 1 Dumpster Fire postgame
Hell no, we can lose the rest of our games and only beat Dallas, and I'm satisfied with that season.

Re: Giants part 1 Dumpster Fire postgame
I’ll say this, those 2 turnovers by Kyle were terrible.
But, the two TD throws were perfect, best TD throws of the year. Both were contested catches and perfectly put where only the receivers could get them. Nice throws.

Re: Giants part 1 Dumpster Fire postgame
On that play where Jones ran what seemed like forever, that was all on Collins. His assignment was obviously the QB. He went for the fake so there were two guys on the rb. Once Jones pulled the ball out there was no one there. Then after he blew his assignment he wasn't athletic enough to chase down Jones. He should have been benched after that shit. A free agent off the street could have played that play better. But he is making 14 million. Totally inexcusable. Sit his ass down.

Re: Giants part 1 Dumpster Fire postgame
I don't think he's 100% yet, and he had a nice pressure on the INT that Jones threw in the end zone.

Re: Giants part 1 Dumpster Fire postgame
He's better than Haskins but he is another Case Keenum type..
