Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
Give me Fitz over Ryan all day. I wouldn’t want Eyan for a half eaten ham sandwich.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
Darnold deserves a second look because the Jets aren't a professional organization and no one outplayed him at the QB position.
Heinikes success on short notice makes Dwayne look really bad, if that was possible. |

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
That's true, Darnold should go in the hopper as a possible. He misses his share of games though.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
I want someone that's proven, rather not waste time trying to see if a retread can kickstart their career or not.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
If Alex's contract comes off the books:
1. Watson - pipe dream 2. Stafford - not sure Detroit is trading him, but if the price is right - ok. - Bring back Heinicke If Alex's contract does not come off the books: 1. T Taylor 2. R Fitzpatrick - Bring back Heinicke I'm drafting a QB either way. Not necessarily with the first pick, but if there's one on the board that is the BPA in round 2-7, then yes. |

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
And while this defense is good, I don't think it's championship caliber just yet. It's not "ready now". They were the beneficiaries of a fairly soft schedule, and a lot of backup QBs. Still need help and depth at LB and DB.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
Yeah but you still need a legit QB1, Can't wait around for "What if's" the defense was ranked 2nd , that's pretty damn good. You can upgrade at LB in Free agency / draft.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
Yeah, I definitely agree the team needs a legit QB1, I'm just saying there's work to be done on the defensive side of the ball too. I keep seeing "the defense is ready now", and it's not. When they played against starting QBs outside this bad division, they allowed at least 30 points in six of those nine games.
The exceptions were Ben Roethlisberger and his fraudulent Steelers, Bridgewater and the Panthers, and Wilson and the Seahawks. Neither one of these teams had their starting RB. |

Tyrod Taylor was bad in Buffalo , Cleveland and lost his job to Herbert (was bound to happen anyway but still) He’s not very good and honestly Cam Newton is better

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
You’re right. Playing like ass with Freeman/Gurley and Jones, Ridley and Gage the last two years is all the position players faults. I used to think highly of him but he can’t seem to get out of his own way recently.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
Okay. I do not want to hear the “Heinicke is small and frail crap anymore”.
Taylor Heinicke 6’1” 210 lbs Drew Brees —- 6’0” 208 lbs Kyler Murray — 5’10” 207 lbs Russell Wilson -5’11” 215 lbs As the pronounced president of the Taylor Heinicke Fan Club, I will not tolerate such slanderous lies be made about our quarterback of the future. He sprained his AC joint flying like Superman during a circus stunt. That is not a normal play. The kid is a very smart “5 read” guy who has demonstrated terrific decision making and great accuracy, even with difficult down the field throws. He is extremely familiar with this offensive scheme. He is mobile and can extend plays when needed. Now taking applications for members.

He was drafted by the Ravens and was Flacco's backup for four years. He was the starter in Buffalo for three years, averaging 3,000 yards passing/500 yards rushing per year. He was traded to the Browns after Josh Allen was drafted. He was the starter but got hurt in week three, making way for Baker. He backed up Rivers last year, was named the starter this year. Was 1-0, and then the team Dr. decided to pierce his lung with a needle, making way for Herbert. He doesn't turn the ball over like Fitzpatrick, he can be a dual threat, he wouldn't break the bank, and he's not 38. Like I said - I would at least kick the tires on him. |
