Brunell seems to do well when he's not starting. Maybe Gibbs should have just started Ramsey and put Brunell in again in the 2nd quarter. Damn, I can't help but think the Cowgirls would probably have 2-3 picks if Ramsey was in there - or a few more sacks.

Thoughts anyone?

Re: 'Skins-Cowboys Game thread 9/19/05

Well, I guess you can sum up the entire first half in one sentence...

Mark Brunell throws an interception which leads to a Cowboy field goal.

And let me get this straight, coach Gibbs put him in because he doesn't turn the ball over, right?

When will coach get the b@lls to hand this has-been a clipboard and tell him we really hired him to chart plays and pass the gatorade?

9-12 for 56 yards.......less than 5 yards per attempt.......sound familiar????

Anyone who thinks Brunell is any better this year is just kidding themselves.

No kidding... but as much as I would rather see Ramsey in, I'm going to keep pulling for Brunell as long as Gibbs keeps playing him. Damn we need to win this.

Look--if Brunnell throws picks, what's the point? I think both D's are playing well, and have stuffed the run pretty well. Whoever can establish the run will eek it out.

The offense looks weak--no two ways about it.

Obviously that hammy is flaring up again.

Unbelievable what a waste of talent he is. We have incredibly athletic skill position players, who could flourish in a more open offense, but are just destroyed in this stagnant scheme. He cannot play anymore other than in a relief role. No one respects his ability to make plays, and for good reason. At least Ramsey forces teams to get off the line of scrimmage.

Yeah, I think it's unfair to Ramsey to assume he'd be doing worse. We don't know either way... maybe Ramsey wouldn't have underthrown that ball in the endzone on the play fake. It's a treadmill to oblivion to speculate.

Brunell sucks. This is exactly what I was afraid of. Sorry you guys who were pumped about Brunell being named the starter, but he's terrible. Why dont we just let Jansen start taking snaps, the guy's got 2 broken thumbs & I would bet he could look more-or-less Brunell-ish. On a positive note, that angus steak pizza from Domino's is clutch, I highly advise trying it, given our current play it's about the only high-note of tonight.
