Yep! Something told me that it was time for a poor punt like that, and Frost went exactly by the script. :vomit:

There is no way in hell that we should ever give up 36 points to anyone. Our defense is just not good enough to control the game. Last years D +this years O = a playoff team no problem. This team I could see could make the playoffs but need to sto dicking around and start dominating on Defense. I think with the way the NFC is now and every one losing and the balance we could get in with 9 wins. We should only lose 2 more games if we play like we can.

all you people and your "one play does not make a game" crap. I understand the idea, but the 2-point conversion play WAS the game. Everyone knew it. If they made it the Skins had a long shot of coming back. If they missed it the game was over. It was HUGE. It determined the game and the skins stopped him. The refs blew it big time. And I love the " Skin's defense can't stop anyone"... THEY DID!!!!!! THEY DID, that's the whole point. THEY STOPPED ALSTOT WHEN THEY NEEDED TO!!!!!

Re: Game Thread: Skins @ Bucs 11/13/05

Now we know a few things about this team.
  1. The defense is solid and disciplined, but not "great." The Skins played highly entertaining "away" games that kept us on the edge of our seats until the last play, but lost. DEnver, KC, Tampa; great defenses take two of those games. Not enough STOPS!!!
  2. Defensive starters are solid, but depth is suspect. This is a different game -- and Alstott's goal line carries get a different result -- if Taylor plays. (Gawd, I hope he is found "not guilty")
  3. The offense is now better than the defense. They came from behind and scored 28 points on the number one defense and still lost.
  4. The Skins are not good enough on either side of the ball to overcome mistakes. It seems the 1980s Redskins could over come their mistakes, not that they made that many.
  5. The refs did not blow the call! To overturn a touchdown on the last play, they needed to see the ball on the video tape. We could see Alstott's body and could assume that Alstott had not cross the line. NO WAY were the refs going to overturn a score on an assumption/presumption/guess/probability. The tape was not conclusive enough. (Duck & covering now.)
  6. We lost because we let Tampa drive 60+ yards down field to score a TD in the last two minutes when they had no time outs.
I haven't given up on this team, but 9-7 or 10-6 might not get a wild card. 2006 is the year. I still hope for the best for the team and will just enjoy the progress.
