Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
The only real reason I can see them selecting RG3 is because the GM comes from Philly where they have been acquiring athletic QBs for years. I think it fits within his comfort zone.

I don't think anyone is down on Luck as much as they are just so high on the idea of RG3 it would be somewhat of a letdown to not get him. Either way we're guranteed a heck of a QB prospect.

Good point. Most recent teams that have an obvious need at the position and hold the first draft pick with a clear #1 on the board sign them before the draft. If Luck is unsigned by the Colts before draft day something will be up I suspect. With the rookie cap instituted now there shouldn't be any reason a deal won't get done.

Link?
We all know Luck in all likelihood will be a Colt, we're just discussing what might happen if the .0001% chance of him not becoming a Colt happens. Is that ok with you?

I can't believe we have to wait six months to see Griffin --> Garcon in a real game. I can't wait!

I think somebody mad.
Cleveland Browns' Mike Holmgren says Browns' offer to Rams for RG3 was "every bit'' as good as Redskins' | cleveland.com Quote:

The RG3 market was ridiculous. I'm surprised that Holmgren would admit (after he lost) that he was involved in that.
Then again, I'm not surprised that Holmgren would admit anything.

I guess he was talking about the #4 being better than #6 which would equal a second rounder? I dunno........

Their ones were higher/more valuable/came sooner than our ones.

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
The only sense I saw was their #4 and the other first rounder being this year as compared to having to wait to us next year's....of course I'm hoping that next year's first rounder is the last pick of the first round!

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
This is just a silly PR move.
The browns arent getting manning, they arent getting rg3, and they probably arent getting flynn. basically, theyre not getting any QB worth anything and holmgren is trying to pacify the browns fanbase by acting like he did everything he could and the rams just wanted to trade with us so theyll be less mad at him when they go another year without a quality quarterback.
